Qatar Airways status match to Virgin Australia

I’m entertained. I had velocity silver, used that to get Qatar Platinum (go figure) and Now got velocity gold... no flying in the foreseeable future though to all academic.

Looks like Qatar have extended status out to 31/12 this year. Not that it’ll mean much for a while!

I should be in line for an early vaccine but I'm not holding out lots of hope for international travel then but can probably make domestic use

Maybe it's just Qatar status extended, is that possible without OneWorld part of it?

I would hope that it’s extended beyond 2021 as it’s looking extremely unlikely for aussies to be allowed to leave prison before then.

Haven't received it yet. My tier annual periods ends the 10th of June.
Emails must be sent by batch for each annual tier periods.
But at the end of the day, they will all be extended. No need to stress.
They kinda have to otherwise it's quite bad PR.

Now waiting EY to extend my plat status once again (more valuable for me as I used to fly a lot VA and EY, and always seamless and nice experiences all the time).

I also received. Doubt it will go beyond end of this year. Whilst travel to/from Aus likely to be restricted well into next year, other countries will open up a lot quicker than us and have already done so, therefore they'll probably have a large enough percentage of FF's travelling and participating in their rewards program - just not many Australians.

I am one flight away from my QF status challenge. My QR Plat helped me initially, but now I have temp QF Gold during challenge so don't really need QR at this time. I would normally have 10 international flights each year throughout Asia and some EU but not sure if that will happen in time to enjoy the QR Plat status. So, QF here I come...
