I agree. Perhaps it will be extended beyond that closer to the date but now that I got the gold match through QF I'm not so concerned. So long as I can maintain my free coffee and booze in the domestic lounges for the time being I'm happy... Would be nice to experience the Qatar first class lounge with the match rather than having to actually pay for a first class ticket.but honestly can't see that being of any use for most Australians
Agree completely that the customer service is hopeless. QR's claim to fame is in the on board service which in J can be really good (even over the top). The customer service is shockingly bad and makes Qantas look stellar in comparison. Not sure how these guys became airline of the year a few years ago.

Well, apparently Qatar must have worked out what they had done when they status matched my Virgin Silver status with Qatar Platinum. After months of my account being blocked they have decided to downgrade me to Silver (fair enough) but without so much as a word about what they are doing or why. Ridiculous. If this status match was in an attempt to woo me over to Qatar, I think they have missed the point entirely.Apparently, my Qatar status has been "under investigation" since July last year, hence I am unable to login, and my status is unlikely to be extended. The telephone staff couldn't add any further information and are looking into why I cannot login. I have been calling Qatar and emailing them since July 2020, and have raised a ticket to resolve this back in March, but there has been no progress.

Keep using them to get into domestic business lounge or international first while collecting QFF pointsI logged into the app the other day because I needed the number for another status match and noticed it said extended to 31st December but honestly can't see that being of any use for most Australians
I think @joon8887 refers to accessing Qantas lounges in Australia (Qantas First when in Sydney) using the OW Sapphire status compliments of Qatar Gold?!Oneworld Ruby status does not enable Qantas lounge entry.
Unless there is another way.
I meant OW emerald. I got status matched to emerald and been using it for this purpose.I think @joon8887 refers to accessing Qantas lounges in Australia (Qantas First when in Sydney) using the OW Sapphire status compliments of Qatar Gold?!
How do u add to apple wallet again?I checked the App the other day, and it came up with a Congrats on your Status Match message, however showed same dates (think I checked 7/6 - was bored!). It's still showing my Tier Validity as 7/6/20 - 6/6/21, yet when I deleted and readded the card to Wallet, shows 31/12/21.
Perhaps more interestingly, it came up and asked if I wanted a physical card today in the app. If you insist.
From memory, just “called” up the digital card in the app, there is a link immediate underneath for adding to your Apple walletHow do u add to apple wallet again?
This thread just reminded me to update my QR status in my apple Wallet, as it was currently showing expired 6th June. Had to remove the card before updated to the new one with the 31 dec 2021 expiry

That was confusing as i'm OW Ruby which has no lounge accessI meant OW emerald. I got status matched to emerald and been using it for this purpose.
I really hope so, want to get a chance to use this at some nice lounges!!Does anyone know if this is likely to be extended by another 6 (or 12) months given Australian international borders have been closed?
Unlikely as QR are operating as normal from DOH to most of their other destinations, however it would be nice as there'd be thousands of travellers from Australia who would fly them once we can go O/S (myself included, provided they can get permanent traffic rights for BNE).Does anyone know if this is likely to be extended by another 6 (or 12) months given Australian international borders have been closed?
