Qatar Airways status match to Virgin Australia

Same here.
I finally have four reward flights with them but the first is not till 30th April so now I wonder if I will still have gold status with them still for these flights!
Wish I'd been WP with Virgin when I did the status match.

As far as I understand it will be a soft landing to gold unless you meet all criteria to maintain your privilege platinum status.

Same here - extended to 31/03/24 and 5 lounge passes valid up to 01/04/2024.
Might have to still apply to the RJ Status Match to keep access up until the end of the year.

I had trouble accessing the TSV QF lounge last week - the lounge attendant was not letting us in up until the QR FF number was added to my booking.

I showed the QF Lounge Access Page and OW lounge access requirements but she did not want to hear any of it.

I then altered the number back to QF FF via Finnair/Malaysia MMB and then visited the QF service desk at BNE who was able to clear out all FFQ on my bookings and re-add my QF FF.

Poor experience.

Noooooo, this is my story about the exact same situation in TSV

Same with me, to 31 March 2024. To be honest the only benefit I've taken up is a visit to the QF First Lounge in Syd when flying Q, but I certainly enjoyed it. And, I pulled a swifty by last-minute heading to the J lounge and having them change my Qatar FF ref to my QF one. Didn't really do much for me in the end, due to so little flying.

keeping my fingers crossed it is an update being rolled out, but mine is till showing expiry on 31/12/2023.

Fair enough, the only thing I had crediting back to the program in 2023 was some avios from a few stays with Accor (that status match from QR to Accor was an unexpected bonus!). I did get a lot of use from it for QF F lounge over 2022, and 2023 along with quite a few visits in DOH - just a shame to see those go. Flying QF international in Feb so holding out for a slim hope of a late christmas miracle as it would've been handy for.

It's been a good run though, definitely one of the most worthwhile status matches. (Shame RJ's match is so limited in eligibility)

Mine remains at 31/12/23
I have made QR J flights in 2022 but credited them to BA
Credited a couple of QF Y flights to flights for extra baggage also
Not a biggie for me as no planned flights for Jan-Mar

I booked a reward QR flight last week direct with Avios, and noticed that my previous December 2023 expiry is now March 31 2024. The flights aren’t until a June 2024
Strange how my expiration date changed back in July !

I received an email this morning confirming the status extension to 31 March. Nice, but I don't need it until May, so looks like I may just miss out... I guess its low odds they'll extend beyond March.

I got the email too. I would have preferred to June 30 but beggars can't be choosers and I was sure I was going to be downgraded today

Email today too. It’s not much use to me except for access to the AS lounge the day we fly home on March 30th but do appreciate the gesture and impressed by QR. If their program was more flexible and allowed domestic QF flights to credit then I would seriously consider going with them

I got the email too, it isn't reflected on the app, website or the wallet/pass yet so hopefully that updates soon.
