or one could be proactive before the anniversary date, say a few days, and call and say "I flew these flights in May, it's June 28th and my anniversary is about to lick over" and ask if hey can manually process them.

I agree it would be annoying if one had to do that, but QF are being explicit in the T&C about how long it could take. As often discussed here posting of bonus points or SC's can almost be a lottery between a few days to weeks but nobody could claim QF haven't been up front about this.

I also got a loyalty bonus of 8,000 points

I will have to see if I can get into the lounge in SFO without my Gold QFF card (I will have Gold status by the time I try to go to the lounge but won't get the card till I get home).

If only I had been checking this forum more regularly and had seen this earlier! I've had a trip a week for the past few weeks, but without the double status credits, I am going to fall just shy of a level-up. Serves me right for not being more of a regular at AFF!

That's disappointing significance! I take it you didn't receive an email from QF? (my first two arrived April 28, with a reminder on May 3).

I didn't receive an email. The emails were targeted but the offer itself was open to everybody. I'm glad I was reading AFF and could take advantage of the offer.

I would have to agree. I suspect everything posted up to Monday got included. Why Monday? Well my partner and I flew the same flights (same PNR), both registered for DSC.

For reasons best know to QF, the Sunday return flight posted to her account on Monday - but mine didn't post until this morning (why it should be different for two pax on the same PNR I have no idea). I got DSC only for the outward Friday leg, her account posted the DSC for both outward and the Sunday return.

This has bumped me over to gold in time for a flight to New Zealand this week. Will I get the gold benefits even if I haven't received the card by then?

Additional to the phone screenshot idea, It should also show on your boarding pass. There might be a small period of about a day where you have the SC but the Tier status has not officially got over the line. Just ring up in this case if its on the day of travel.

Yes or if you are lucky enough to have a friend who can guest you in.

DSC just posted for flights taken on 4/5 May. I have two more bookings made in the eligibility period for yesterday and Thursday so we'll see how long they take.

Zoom straight past Platinum again with 4 months left in my earning year. In hindsight I should have booked the next 12 months of travel in advance for the twice monthly flights I always take...

I can't remember last time I've been asked to show my card; your boarding pass will usually say FF GOLD SAPPHIRE 55512345.
