Perhaps I'm slow on the uptake, but can someone please clarify if this is 120 SC (as it actually says on the QF site when almost making a dummy booking) on an EK operated QF marketed QF flight number codeshare F seat ? I thought S&F slashed the SC earn on anything but QF metal, even with a QF (codeshare) flight number.

Will this actually earn 120 SC, and I presume points based on the F calc ?

From last month.

Has this dried up? Cheapest showing is around NZD1300 at the moment.

The last sale might have ended but keep an eye on this thread. Someone will probably post when the sale comes back on.

Yes, they have gone, but likely to come back

Last month I needed to change the date on a "First Sale" ticket and was pleasantly surprised that I could change it even though the "First Sale" fare was not being sold at that time. I had to pay the $150 change fee, but it's better than being slugged the full fare difference to whatever is being sold at the time. Hence now I am grabbing multiple "First Sale" tickets when they are available on the assumption this is standard practice. We'll see if I get stung in future!

That's pretty good to go know !!
Thanks :)

Nice one :)
Taking my inaugural AKL-SYD F trip next month. Pretty excited. Belated anniversary weekend. Going out QF J as wanted to get a decent amount of social dining done in the SYD Flounge.

Are these on the QF site or the EK site as each gives me F fares around $1350 each way?
You'll need to book one-way flights from AKL back to Australia. Easiest thing to do is go via qantas.co.nz

Good luck!

Availability is wide open through to May 2016. I didn't bother scrolling any further than May.

I'm looking at August 2016 and AKL-SYD-AKL seems to have sale fares both directions. SYD-AKL is NZD$947 for ex-AU taxes and AKL-SYD is the usual NZD$900.

It's on again! AKL/SYD for NZ$898 from 21 January

Looks like I'll be grabbing a few more of these!

Sweet! Was waiting for that.
How long these sales usually last?

A couple of weeks maximum, I think.

You can always buy them now and then pay $150 to reschedule them once your plans firm up.

For those interested (I've done EKF A380 twice in the last few months haha) in doing something different, there's also a sale in EK F on their 777-300ER from Christchurch to SYD $898.
