Mmmmm. That clears all the good stuff too. Like AFF logins and similar ilk.

I agree that clearing cookies is probably the way to go. You'll only need to re-enter that other stuff once. A bit of a nuisance, but ....

Edit: You could try using another browser, first.

Try searching for some Australian domestic flights? That might bring you back.

I have. I did 5 actual bookings this week. Its very strange. This wasnt the first NZ flight I've booked. I wonder if it is something to do with that error message people have reported. Maybe they have enhanced their website?

I also keep getting warnings the flights are in AUD!

I do clear cookies regularly due to an IT thing we are developing at work. But not since this issue. On the list for tomorrow. :p

You should be able to clear specific cookies by searching "Qantas"

The sale is on again for flights from 1 March

AKL/SYD NZ$899. For those doing a round trip from AKL, the return sector is NZ$959

Grab a few because you can change them for only NZ$150

QF still has a J sale on for the next 2 days as well.

I've shuffled fares quite a few times even after the sale had ended and never been charged a difference.

Of course, that's no guarantee for the future, but I've had 100% success so far so even if I get charged a fare difference once, it's still a good deal to me

Is it ok to do a same day turn around in Auckland - Mel-Auck then return Auck-Mel? I'd presume same plane if arrival is late.

Sure! It's called an "AKL quicky"...

the best I've managed without running was 8 minutes from gate, out through immigration, then back in and up in to the lounge. (that was using the elevator in NZ premium check-in area)

I've used the transfer line and just gone straight from the gate through to the lounge, on a SYD-AKL-SYD run before. It's just at the right of the main corridor. I've had a pre-printed boarding pass, or was met at the plane with a boarding pass for the next flight. I used the transfer/service desk in the area where gates 5,6,7,8,9,10 etc split off (just beyond the staircases down to 1,2,3,4).

Last time I flew on the F EK ditch special my status 'renewed' half way during the flight. Right after the shower. Rather special. :p

You should be able to do it without actually going landside as well.

Can you imagine if I start the day in the F lounge, Dom in the middle, off to Emirates lounge and Moet, then more Dom on the way back! I owe it to AFF to give it a go. And wont be wearing sandals!

Actually sandals would be more than acceptable :p

.... and it'll be jandals while in AKL, and you'll be admired. ;)
