There are heaps of people in the unknown universe without Paypal accounts. :p

Of course. But remember the customer is always right, Dave.

Althought to be honest I don't see any complaints here. Just a few questions. :-|

The customer being right? can't be having that :) ... except I spose when it comes to understanding fare rules compared with some airline agents :)

comments like "Things change, or in Qantas speak, get enhanced" seemed to be complaints/negative views to me given the colloquial use of enhance to meaning things getting worse

You do know that I'm going to store that quote for future reference... :o

How would you know though ? :)
Well, there have been a few occasions where Captain Kirk and myself were thrown into an alternate universe.

Oh Dave, don't be so precious.! 'Twas only an indicator of the way things work in the real world. Look at many credit card reward schemes; they provide a service that is better than most then reduce the benefits. I'm sure you are like me and many other people who frequent this board that the limitation on PM's are the only issue from the most recent changes. My post certainly was not meant to imply that things are getting worse; just that AFF is following a common trend.

As far at this forum's software goes; It's obvious that in the last few month Clifford would have had to ante up (by now) a reasonable sum for the several recent changes to the Forums's base software and needs to pay for it. I have no problem with that. It's his baby and we can choose to use it or not; in whatever way made available to us.

What is confusing?
I thought it was self explanatory! Membership levels? Payment?

There was a thread recently where it was asked about being able to have a subscription facility which would provide an advert free access.
It was the first I had heard of it.

I got 3 when this thread was updated, but only 1 for the others.

Damien and Peter, are the number of notification emails you are receiving the same as the number of replies you have in a specific thread? The more times you have replied to a thread may trigger more notification emails!

No. It was only this thread, and now seems to have been resolved.

If that were the case, surely we would all be suffering the same fate. I had the duplicates for one day, but the problem went away and has not resurfaced.

What I do find, for some threads, is that I will get notified every time there is a new post, notwithstanding that the email says I won't get them till next time I view the thread.

Sorry, I was just having a stab in the dark. As I have never turned on the email notification feature hopefully I will not be suffering the same fate.

I didn't either! It just started one day and I never turned it off.:lol:

I am now receiving the frequent flyer gazette email again after it was missing in action for at least 6 months.

I have not made any changes to my profile or email address.

That's weird.

I subscribed to the gazette last year some time but I've never received a copy.
