I am now receiving the frequent flyer gazette email again after it was missing in action for at least 6 months.

I have not made any changes to my profile or email address.

I got one yesterday as well.

That's weird.

I subscribed to the gazette last year some time but I've never received a copy.
Very weird. I subscribed when I first joined and received the AFF gazette for a few months but then emails stopped.

I noticed the AFF gazette online a few months back and sent PM to admin that I was not receiving email and he mentioned that it must be my junk mail filters stopping it coming through. Didn't bother doing anything about it, as I had no idea what to do anyway, and the other day the AFF gazette arrives in my inbox.

I received the gazette yesterday for the first time in months. I certainly don;t think my junk mail filters had anything to do with them stopping.

I was actually surprised to see it

Me too but now that we're discussing it's sudden appearance it will probably disappear again.

 JohnK, it should say Conspiracy Theorist under your name instead of Posting Freak.

All,

Forgive me for asking this question here, but it seemed like the right place. I want to start a thread and for the life of me I can't work out how. What do I need to do to start a thread please?

Hi Ikara,

When you enter a forum (eg. Your Questions), there is a 'NEW THREAD' box near the left, just at the top of the list of threads. Just click it and you're away.

tuapekastar,

Thanks for the quick response, but I'm clearly "thread" challenged. By "enter a forum" do you mean reading responses? I've done a find on this page - thread, and still can't see a start new thread button.

Easiest way is use the forum jump at the bottom right of your screen. Select the most appropriate forum from the pulldown list and click go.

Alternatively, you can navigate by clicking on the forum links are the top of the page (just below the search links).

Thanks guys - I'm no longer thread challenged. My new thread has been posted.

Look here ;)

Love the half page sticky that appears on the screen everytime I log into AFF.

Ahem... regarding this new popup window that is appearing promoting the Freq Flyer Gazette...

If I click on the link in an email notification to view a reply, it first takes me to the new post but then the popup window appears and returns me to the start of the thread. It also pops up after using the search.

Not liking this at all! It's making the forum very difficult to use.

Is anyone else having problems with using the scroll bar to scroll up and down on ths site?? Seems to be a newly acquired behaviour for IE, but specific to this site. Firefox is ok.

Ever since the new php was implemented, the page up/down keys often have not worked properly. You page down and the fram scrolls - then jumps back up. This with FFox. I deal with it by using the scroll bars:confused: /mouse wheel.

Yes! It is that wretched pop-up window. Scrolling is OK until it appears. When you click to dismiss the pop-up, the animated way in which it scrolls off the page seems to make the scrollbars almost dead on IE7.

No problem for me with IE7.

I'm guessing then that it only affects those of us that get to see advertisements! Not knowing what Dave Noble's and NM's subscription status is, maybe why they are not having the problem,
