As with MEL, lead in fare is more than I would have expected. Decent times at least.

With all these extra PER flights is there a plan for a lounge?
Even if there was, don't hold high expectations. Their SYD lounge reminds me mostly of the 1990's lunch/staff rooms. One of those which make you realise that sometimes the terminal common areas may be nicer than where you are now... 🤭

Even just new furniture, paint the walls, new fridges, new food offering, you don’t need to spend millions like Borghetti did. Just make them more 2024 ish not 2000. I don’t care if they stick to self serve, just make them a bit more appealing.

ADL is a bizarre choice especially under a lease. Competing against everyone and 3x a week? This won't last.

Potential daytime connection per-adl-mel with those timings, 75 minute transit in Adelaide. 😃

Isn’t it just downtime flying during mining ops?

They do the same with Cairns and the Q400, repositioning flights but sold to customers as RPT. Often at the most ungodly hours. No thanks.

Except… the Rex lounges are a true ‘haven’. Rarely more than 5 or 6 people in them. Only once have I been in the sydney lounge and had to look for a seat! (There was one, but tucked away.) Compared to any other lounge offering, isn’t that what people want? Peace and quiet, clean WCs, coffee, beers and wines, and a hot toasted sarnie? Cleaning is meticulous, and no tables stacked up with used crockery after people move on.

I’ve had to queue to get into VA lounges!

Leasing off their subsidiary, it's similar to QF or VA using QFLink or VARA aircraft respectively in those states.
