The bus has been booked for 13 pax.

Pick up is at 0900 on North Terrace at the Convention Centre.
drewbles will be picked up at the airport between 9.15 - 9.30

It will take approximately an hour to get to Charles Melton so we will be about half an hour early for 11am opening.
What if we were to stop at say Lyndoch for a quick coffee or I can reschedule the bus for a 9.30 pick up.

Consensus of the guests please.

If anybody (except drewbles - he can't have it) would like my mobile number send me a PM.

Don't forget..... still 2 seats left for either romney or shintaro10x

Buzz, put Shintaro10x x2 down as Platinum...

I hope we can find a way for the Romney's to come if they want to....
 
Still don't know if we are available, but happy for the Shintaro's to take the places if they are definite. We will definitely be in on the next one :-)

Yes, if the Romneys want to come, I'd like to think we try to make it possible... Not sure if you can change our transport though Buzz, and not sure if / when the Romney's can confirm 100%

Romney, when will you know 100% either way...?

I am surprised this event is so popular.
Next time I will take EOI and then book an appropriate size bus.
I am sure newk would have come along too if he was in town.
 
whats the next size bus up from 13 pax

More room is better if the cost is not too much more, also room for the romneys if they want to come (which I hope they do)

The next size up is a 21 seater cost being $630.00. If we were to divide that by 15 = $42 per pax. Current cost is $38 each.

2 issues, we would need to let the bus co. know asap to ensure a bus is available and would need to let Charles Melton and Rockfords know asap the increased number of guests.
I would not want to go beyond 15 as the sole stonewaller taking guests into the tasting room.

Coffee stop sounds good to me. I don't want to nuke my palate, but I think I may be slow off the mark given it is a Sunday morning after all.

I have no idea where the convention centre is, but I shall work it out. I will be at either the IC or the Hilton, probably the latter.

Regarding the extra guests, I am happy with either figure for the buses. If we go for the bigger bus we have to work out who gets a "blocked" seat next to them :p

The Convention Centre is almost next door to the IC. The bus will pick us up on that side of the road. If staying at the H you can catch the tram down, 3 stops from Victoria Square to North Terrace Railway Station.
And the tram is free - just make sure to catch it in the correct direction :oops: If walking I would allow 20mins.

Happy to go anywhere, but this one seems the middle of the bunch and possibly good just for a coffee stop...!

If anyone has a better idea I'd be happy with that also...
