Enjoy the lunch - get some answers for regional cities! I was at the OOL QC yesterday - had I been on a JetStar flight I would have been very annoyed as they closed the lounge for 2 and a half hours in the middle of the day (after the 1pm QF SYD flight) even though there was a list of JetS flights leaving.

Is Uber supposed to call me after I request a car? Time has said five minutes for the last 8 minutes and taxi line growing by the second.

Now it's up to 7 minutes. Cancelling. Still no phone call to confirm. So 15 minutes in total and nothing. Taxi it is.

From what I can tell from Uber, you should receive the driver's name and the vehicle rego when you place the booking. Apart from that info, no other confirmation.

Sydney only has black cars on Uber, so only look out for black cars.

Hope we do not have these issues tomorrow, otherwise it will be a strike against Uber.

No. There was a little message at the bottom that said collection would be in 7 mins. Then later that went to five. Then about five minutes later that went back to 7. No driver name. I gave up after 15 or so mins as the taxi line started to grow and no taxis. Being female on my own with some characters hanging around i decided to move on. I cancelled it but no message to say I'd cancelled. This was using the iPhone app. Not to worry as I'm now nicely installed at the Sofitel. I'm happy. Interested to see how you guys go tomorrow when there'll be more cars around.

From SYD airport to city? I think there are 5 of us and we are not likely to fit into the one cab.

So due to my size I volunteer to go the scenic route and the other 4 can go in a cab if they so desire.
