I have to agree their airport shuttle service has deteriorated in the last months.

Our next Syd Int experience wont require a stop over. I will miss the Rydges experience.

I pay $5 and use the train because waiting for the bus is a joke

Yes the bus can be a bit unreliable and the queues at reception tedious but for early international departures its ideally positioned. It's easy for us to block out the negatives when we're focused on skipping the country anyway.

On my last stay (Nov 15) I managed to claim under Rydges best rate guarantee so my night only cost $87 - worth a 5 minute search if you are staying there.

I haven't tried a BRG at Rydges (have in NYC in Marriott, after invaluable advice from an AFFer - saved me thousands of USD and tax). I will look it up, but any insider tips?

Update: Ok found a cheaper non subscriber site that shows a cheaper rate than Rydges for early May. I have made a fully refundable Rydges bkg and put in for a BRG.

I was supposed to put in a screen shot, but pressing windows tab and screen shot together just got me a page with no info from the other site. Was I doing something wrong? I put the url in the email and hopefully that rate will stick till Rydges look at it. But, I'll follow up with the screen shot if someone has another windows idea of how to do it?

I'll report once the decision comes through.

sounds like you have found your way.

I had booked a non-refundable, pre-paid room direct and found the same room with the same conditions on an Australian site so took a screenshot and sent it in - a day later the manager replied confirming I would get the BRG.

I did did the screen shot on my iPad as I find it convenient.

Oh oh, does it need to be an Aussie site? I sent in HotelsCombined not sure where that is based.

I'm not sure if it needed to be but the one I found it on ended in .au and the currency was in AUD

Thanks so much for alerting me to this, I got my BRG within around 24 hours. And, it's not so hard to find a booking site that's a bit cheaper than Rydges. But, if unsure, be sure to book a canellable rate.

Thats really good news

Once the BRG is successful are you able to add your PGR number to the booking and receive the usual benefits?
