Scams like these

What was going on yesterday !!! I don't usually pick calls up that don't have a contact attached to them, but I was waiting on a call back from Qantas (I know don't laugh) and I had a large number with a Sydney prefix and all were a crypto trading company who insisted I had registered an interest online with them (yeah really). Later I got a few mobile numbers which I ignored however, the last one I thought why not have some fun. He turned out to be the same spiel with a heavy Indian accent, so I asked where he was calling from - Melbourne he answers. Well knowing the weather here at the moment I asked him how was the weather in Melbourne :) Sunny was the answer and then he proceeded to tell me he wasn't a scammer, and he could send me company information.

I must remember to keep ignoring these numbers :)

Oooh, I just got partially sucked into one!

Am subscribed to a few YouTube channels, got message to contact one of them using Telegram so I did ... actually spent probably up to 10 minutes thinking about what I watched & didn't watch on his channel to give maybe-helpful feedback.
But then suddenly did I want to go into the competition which I'd have heard-about in the channel if said competition existed (I mean why would you hold a private competition, they're about marketing!).
Um OK ... well all he needs is <long list of private details> and I win the Gibson guitar! I have no idea what a Gibson guitar is worth, $500?
Nah mate some kid would love that but no thanks ... well how about an iPhone 14 & a Mac Pro?!
Erm ... um ... no thanks ... *deletes Telegram account & app*.

😂 yeah sure

I have had at least 4 calls in recent days purporting to be from NBN - different voice but similar accent for each call.
