Scoot Delays/Cancellations

Monday 8 January 2018 has TR19 (B789 9V-OJE, the 1215 hours from MEL to SIN that took off at 1247) suggested as arriving in the Lion City at 1740, 45 minutes tardy.

B788 9V-OFI was to be taken for maintenance but on 8 January it rolled back while the aerobridge remained in place: a door was (partly) ripped off when chocks were removed but there was no tug to hold the aircraft in place.

Wednesday 4 April 2018 has TR3 (B789 9V-OJC), the 1200 hours 'high noon' SYD - SIN not taking off until the mid afternoon at 1535. Arrival should be at around 2113 hours, 163 minutes behind the timetable.

This plane had arrived in SIN 23 minutes early at 0252 hours on TR13, also ex SYD but then had to form TR2, the scheduled 0130 hours down to SYD that took off, not unnaturally, at 0442.

Another aircraft must have been defective.

On Thursday 5 July 2018, TR24, the 1100 hours SIn down to MEL that was airborne at 1228 hours with B788 9V-OFC should arrive at 2122, 62 minute sbehind schedule.

Sunday 29 July 2018 sees TR16, the 1400 hours SIN - PER (B789 9V-OJC) badly late, having taken off at 1823. Arrival is expected at 2308 late tonight, 243 late.

Thursday 2 August 2018's TR6, the 2220 hours SIN down to OOL did not become airborne until 0009 hours on Friday 3. Arrival for B789 9V-OJD should be at 0855, 65 minutes late.

TR3, the Saturday 4 August 2018 SYD - SIN timetabled out at 1200 'high noon' has B789 9V-OJH. With takeoff at 1247, arrival should be 33 late at 1903 early this evening.

On Saturday 11 August 2018, TR2, the 0130 hours SIN - SYD took off at 0230 with B789 9V-OJH. Arrival should be at 1142, 42 late.

Sunday 19 August (with SYD down to one runway) sees TR3, the scheduled 1200 'high noon' SYD up to SIN (B789 9V-OJH) not having taken off until 1258 with arrival at 1910, 40 late.

Monday 20 August 2018 finds TR3, the 0130 hours from SIN down to MEL that took off at 0220 (B788 9V-OFE) arriving 35 late at 1135 hours.

Saturday 22 September 2018's TR3 is the 1200 'high noon' SYD - SIN with B789 9V-OJF. It took off at 1339 so a 1948 hours arrival, 78 late is the prediction.

TR19 (Sunday 30 September, the 1210 hours lunchtime MEL up to SIN, B788 9V-OFC) did njot become airborne until 1345. Lion City arrival should be at roughly 1941 hours tonight, 76 minutes behind schedule.

On Thursday 15 November 2018, TR13 (scheduled at 1915 hours ex SYD to SIN, B789 9V-OJH) took off at 2205 so the 0025 normal arrival for Friday 16 has become a predicted 0309 hours.

TR13 is not having much of an evening on Tuesday 20 November 2018 with B789 9V-OJB taking off at 2139 on this scheduled 1915 hours SYD departure. SIN arrival should be at 0242 hours, 137 minutes late.

TR19, the Wednesday 21 November scheduled 1320 hours MEL - SIN (9V=OJH) is having a shocker, taking off at 2154. Arrival should be at 0245 instead of 1820, 485 minutes tardy. The aircraft had arrived in SIN ten minutes early at 0751 this morning on TR579 ex MAA, so it looks like another aircraft meant to operate the SIN - MEL TR18 at 0040 hours ex SIN had failed.

An extremely tiring wait in SIN - all night - would have been the result.

Thanks for these updates. I was thinking about using Scoot to connect to a mileage award out of SIN next year. Even with a hefty 4 or 6 hour connection time it's looking a bit risky. Think I'll fly a full service carrier.

Thanks for these updates. I was thinking about using Scoot to connect to a mileage award out of SIN next year. Even with a hefty 4 or 6 hour connection time it's looking a bit risky. Think I'll fly a full service carrier.

I recently used TR to connect to another flight in SIN that was eight hours later. The Scoot flight operated was about half an hour late arriving in SIN, so I easily made the connection (including the joy of checking in luggage again).

However the initial flight wasn't out of Oz. "Our" TR routes seem to have some of the worst cases of TR unpunctuality so you are being prudent in not using TR.
