Singapore Airlines Delays/Cancellations

On Friday 1 December 2016, SQ227, the 2120 hours Thursday 30 November from SIN to MEL (B773ER 9V-SWW) that took off at 2221 hours should arrive at roughly 0827, 42 minutes late. This should not affect any outbound SQ flights from MEL as this aircraft has a fair time allowed to turnaround.

For a second conseecuive day, SQ227 is delayed, with the Friday 2 December 2120 hours scheduled departure ex SIN not in the air until 2319 hours. Saturday 3 December arrival should be at 0854, 69 minutes tardy with B773ER 9V-SWZ undertaking the trip.

SQ207, the Wednesday 14 December 0745 hours day flight to MEL operated by ageing B772ER 9V-SVC took off at 0904. Arrival should be 50 minutes delayed at around 1900 hours early this evening.

Friday 16 December 2016 sees SQ232 (1215 hours SYD - SIN) not having become airborne untilo a very late 1451. A380 9V-SKI should arrive at 1944, 129 minutes behind schedule.

On Friday 23 December, SQ231, the 0045 hours SIN to MEL (A380 9V-SKD) that was airborne at 0154 hours should arrive at roughly 1213, 33 minutes tardy.

I have not noticed SQ291, the relatively new SIN - CBR (and on to WLG) 'Capital Connection' flight) being significantly late previously, but on Christmas Day B772ER 9V-SQM should arrive in CBR at approximately 1156, 131 minutes tardy. A guess is that the 1100 hours scheduled continuation across the Tasman will become about a 1305 - 1310 hours departure.

As this aircraft has a scheduled five hour and five minutes turnaround in WLG, SQ292 from WLG to CBR and on to SIN this afternoon and tonight should in theory be on time.

SQ255 from SIN down to BNE (A333 9V-STC) should arrive at 1121 hours, 36 minutes late.

The 2315 hours Saturday 24 SQ251 from SIN down to SYD, 9V-SSH (also an A333) is expected in at 1118, 63 minutes tardy. SQ231 on the same route (A380 9V-SKF) is also tardy with arrival suggested as 1230, 50 late.

I
was on this flight. Was due to the cargo door not being able to close as a baggage trolley was stuck. Luckily I had a longish transit anyhow.

Wednesday 11 January 2017 sees SQ255, the 0045 hours SIN - BNE that was airborne at 0155 likely to arrive at 1134, 49 minutes behind schedule with aircraft A333 9V-SSI.

SQ231, the identically timed scheduled departure from SIN to SYD was in the sky at 0219, so it is somewhat later, being predicted to pull in at 1249, 69 minutes late. A380 9V-SKI is the plane.

SQ232 returning to SIN has been delayed from 1215 hours to a forecast 1400 hours departure this afternoon (11 January.)

SQ221 is meant to precede SQ231 with quite a large gap between them, but this is not the case today with A380 9V-SKC not having taken off until 0210 this morning - compared to a scheduled pushback at 2040 hours. Therefore arrival in SYD should be at 1237, 297 minutes behind time. As SQ222 returning to SIN does not depart until a scheduled 1610 hours, it should (in theory) be able to pull out of SYD on time.

The relatively early start SQ265 from SIN (the 0655 hours scheduled departure) to BNE took off on 12 January at 0751. Arrival should be at 1736, 41 minutes late with A333 9V-STU.

On Monday 13 February, 9V-SNA (B773ER) on the overnight SIN - MEL SQ237 should arrive at about 1056, 46 minutes late.

Saturday 25 February has A380 9V-SKD on SQ231 from SIN suggested as arriving in SYD at 1226, 46 late.

SQ237 from SIN to MEL is in a far worse position, with arrival predicted at 1258 instead of 1010. 9V-SWW is the B773ER. As SQ238 back to SIN is the timetabled 1125 hours departure, it will be at least 150 minutes late departing, meaning missed connections in SIN.

Monday 6 March 2017 has seen SQ238 (1125 hours MEL - SIN, B773ER 9V-SWU) not airborne until 1243. Expected arrival is about 46 late at 1651 this afternoon.

On Tuesday 14 March, SQ227, the 2120 hours Monday 13 SIN - MEL that did not take off until 0063 this morning should arrive at around 1054, 189 minutes tardy with B773ER 9V-SWD.

On Thursday 16 March, SQ231, the 0056 hours SIN down to SYD (A380 9V-SKD) that was airborne at 0201 should arrive at around 1247 hours, 67 minutes tardy.

SQ235 from SIN to BNE (A333 9V-STC) is a predicted 46 late with arrival at 0801 likely.

Further delayed by a hold prior to SYD, SQ221's arrival on Thursday 30 March is likely at 0743 hours, 48 minutes tardy. Aircraft is A380 9V-SKF on this SIN originating flight.

UPDATE: This aircraft then turned around to operate SQ232, the 1200 'high noon' from SYD back up to SIN. Takeoff was not until 1312 hours, about 45 minutes late.

On Friday 31 March, SQ279 from SIn down to ADL (A333 9V-SSI) is likely to arrive 31 minutes late at 0901 hours.

The 0710 hours Monday 3 April SQ241 from SIN to SYD (B773Er 9V-SWG) did not take off until bang on 0900 hours, so this evening's arrival has become 1817 instead of the timetabled late afternoon on blocks time of 1650.

Any idea what's happening with SQ207? Circled a few times about to land in MEL but now seems to be heading toward Canberra or Sydney.
