Singapore QF/BA lounge new changes

Are the Sing lounges going to become QF lounges rather than OW after end of this month? If so, does that then translate into having the QF family policy for the Sing lounge which allows 2 kids into lounge (compared to the stingy OW policy of only 1 as a guest)? this could possibly be, dare i say it, an enhancement?

No, the lounge will remain a QF lounge, which means oneworld pax have access.

We have a JQ 62 departing singa at 2220 in September.

What lounge option will I have as a WP on JQ?

Thanks guys!

I was at SIN earlier today. The Qantas lounge says it's open from 3pm onwards (don't know until how late).
There's no sign of construction work (it's dark), but there are banners outside indicating that it will reopen with new experience soon.

Still hoping that it'll reopen on time so I can visit it on April 1st :)

It will open on March 31 if they are keeping their committment.

Im Hoping too but here is an extract of an email from

Straight from Lesley

I enjoyed meeting you at our coughtail function on Wednesday evening.
I mentioned to you that I would confirm with you the actual opening date of the new lounge in Singapore.
I am told that 31 March is still the target date for opening, so you were absolutely correct (not that I doubted you at all).
It seems as though there is still quite a lot of work to complete, but they are hopeful that they can have it all ready for 31 March.
I hope you enjoy our new lounge environment.

Happy flying
Lesley

The new lounge can't open soon enough. Travelling in F SYD-SIN-LHR and the EK SIN lounge is (apart from the food selection) a woeful sub-par business lounge at best. I have no idea what others are raving about.

The shower suites? Please. Nothing quite like showering next to a urinal in a small box.

Wifi? Abysmally slow.

Full of rude Arabs.

No sign of QF flights on the info screens.

Not seeing an upside. I think I'll head to the WP lounge.

The old F lounge was much better.

Luckily this ends in 2 days.

On my flight this morning I sat next to a person from Rockpool working on the new lounge food offering, and believe this lounge is going to open very soon (it was final training) and the lounge sounds like a step up from standard J. "something special" was the phrase, and similar to what Neil Perry said at the AFF lunch.

Look forward to checking it out in July and August

IIRC.. The initial fanfare opening date was 31 March 2013..
Hope the marching band & pom pom girls are well rehearsed

Looking forward to taking some pics on Sunday and posting on here. Lets hope it is going to be opn on time :D

I am looking forward to seeing them as well given the amount of forward bookings I have to SIN!

Though that particular date appears auspicious for QF fanfare (lounge opening aside) elsewhere somehow

Ok well here I am in the Melbourne F Lounge Looking out at Phylis the last scheduled A380 flight to Singapore. Its ironic that OQL is the last A380 delivered to QF. Will try and get some pictures.

As luxurious and glamorous as the new lounge sounds, I can get in tomorrow for an entry fee of $50 SGD - the cost of a 3K SIN-KUL flight. Or $36 if I wait a couple of days. :D

Well it gets better

Just spoke to one of the loungfe wizards that has just come back from Singapore and seen the new lounge apparantly it is Very POSH, to use his words, Tepanyaki style dining was mentioned along with this is about the best Qantas Lounge ever.

Now I am really looking forward tom seeing it and will be dispaointed if it doesnt open tomorrow.

I see the need for lots pictures.
