Looking forward to sampling this lounge at the end of a SEAsia trip later this year. Will make a nice change from the BNE Dom J lounge (not that I'm complaining mind). ;)

Gratifying to read this comment from tentativetraveller on FT:

"I like to travel comfortably but tank tops not allowed (except for women apparently). I was quickly escorted to showers to change a t-shirt on. Weird, but whatever..."

Well I was disapointed that it didnt open as advised on the 1st April and now having seen the pictures and reviews I am even more disapointed :D BUT I am now glad that it didnt as Mrs Ansett and I will be Travelling to Singapore on the 17th and returning on the 20th so will have pleasure of experiencing the new lounge together :D

Now does anyone know if we can access the lounge on arrival to enjoy a shower and clean up before heading into Singapore?

Really Looking forward to our first experience of this lounge.

Well done Qantas

I am genuinely gobsmacked by people asking the same question over and over about access. Do people not even try to read threads?

You not supposed to be able to use it for arrivals, but it can't hurt to try your luck with a smile, and to keep smiling even if you are politely rebuffed.

SWMBO and & were able to some years ago at the old SIN Flounge when inbound but meeting an outbound WP.
YMMV

I'm with you, but sometimes when one is confronted with a long thread, or several long threads on similar topics, its easier just to think 'To hell with it, I'll ask, and the worse that can happen is to be ignored or maybe tut-tutted'.

With my travel greatly expanding this year outside the usual western Europe / Nth America, I've finally had the wit to bookmark key replies / references to look up later.

It is generally absent in the BAEC forum.

After the initiation process:shock: ......they can be quite friendly.

Things have toned down significantly after a long term & vocal member was given her marching orders:cool:

Which one?

EDIT: Maybe the one who thinks the sun rose and shone from her rear? ;)

The Qantas Singapore lounge looks amazing! Great concept which could be replicated in other ports like BNE, LHR etc.
