Perks for P1 but not for WP... REVOLT

Meh, if all it entails is a shoe shine, shirt press and priority on the showers I think we'll all survive.

Not sure the showers will be so important anymore anyway. They were a welcome refresher back when most pax were transiting to or from Europe, but I'm guessing most travellers could survive an 8 or so hour journey without a shower.

Yes, true, most Aussie passengers would be boarding for first time in Singapore.

Roving Red Roo

Red Roo is lucky enough to be invited to the opening of the new Qantas Singapore Lounge, and be amongst the first to share the exciting experience with the Australian Frequent Flyer community.

Set to offer a new standard of luxury for Qantas customers and travelling from Singapore, the Qantas Singapore Lounge is sure to impress.

It'll probably be quite nice, but not a patch on the EK lounge. And what brand of French champagne will it be serving?

I am expecting caterwauling along these lines (not accusing you of this of course).

I like the idea of more of these for P1 - the WP gets their standard benefits (and in this case it includes an improved lounge) but P1 gets a bonus. Note I will be losing P1 soon and still support this.

I get it that WP doesn't really benefit from the new lounge as just a QP member gets access. But then, WP's get no additional benefits in the Adelaide lounge so they (we) are used to that. :(

I'm quite happy for P1s to get shoe shine and a shirt press. After all, they do fly a lot more with QF than I do! :)

(and I'm not about to put on a freshly pressed shirt and board an aircraft anyway).

The lounge looks awesome btw. I'm going to have to find an excuse to visit!

The press pack has some pretty darn impressive photography in it. Looking forward to trying it out on a sneaky sojourn to Singapore later this year!

Well, if it's Champagne, it's already French (sorry, bugbear of mine).

I'm not sure what the fascination with the EK lounge is. I've found it to be too 'blingy'. I'm not a fan of gold just for the sake of it being expensive and flashy. The new lounge looks great (would rather that any day). Understated class:)

Same. August for me, I plan to arrive around 6pm for a 9.30pm flight, assuming the luggage is open.
