Sabre/New website problems - all my status credits are gone!

Can't get into my account this morning - I take that as a good sign that they have taken it offline to manually add my sectors from 10 Jan. Awaiting the new look....

All four flights taken on Saturday posted correctly this morning.

I am now missing just the one saver flight taken on the 27th - so that's 5/6 flights and 240/250 SC's posted since SABRE.

Note that all flights were booked after 15th January.

My Reward J class flights from Sunday just posted. No sign of Monday morning flight yet.

Re: Sabre/New website problems - all my status credits are gone!

They just called me. Are manually processing mine now. All call centre reps have the authority to manually process missing points/credits from the window of when the change over happened on the spot if you ring and call them and tell them this. She was lovely and said they are also very frustrated by the problems occurring.

Re: Sabre/New website problems - all my status credits are gone!

Flew SYD-LAX on Sunday , all Points & SC posted to my account today ...Happy camper here ;-) Still no Delta fpoints / SC's for sunday flight , but wasn't expecting it that quick .

Re: Sabre/New website problems - all my status credits are gone!

My account showed up this morning, but still Gold and no crediting of the 10 Jan flights - BUT the autobot had credited my 31 Jan BNE/ADL sector instead. Now trying to go back in and it's down again :(. Time to let them know it hasn't worked

I was able to log into Velocity about half an hour ago, but can't get in now :(

Down for me as well.

I had a retro claim rejected for flights taken on the 26th Jan 2013 (claim submitted on the 2nd Feb, amusingly the claim even had the correct VA flight number detailed), but as according to Velocity it was more than 6 months since the flight activity it was rejected! Given that I do not own a time machine, and could not have flown on a VA flight number in 2012 - I can only assume that Sabre issues are screwing around with some of the times/dates of sectors they are trying to manually credit.

Will re-submit again obviously. Then, when they get that right, I will chase up the second sector of the same booking (same day and PNR) that has also gone completely AWOL.

Golly - it seems that VA and Velocity are having some issues at the moment!

Update:

I escalated my issue and they are looking into it...sent them screenshots of my account today to show the wrong sector posted first!

They agree that I should be Plat, so hope they reverse the 31 Jan sector first, so they can load the 10 Jan sectors, give me Plat, then load the 31 Jan sector. My booking BNE/SYD/BNE next weekend is hinging on them gettig it right - if not then MEL and PER trips will be on QF (nothing quite like esquire's loss of bookings to QF though).

I think that is the best way to ensure that you get what you want. As a bonus - VA might start to consider how to fix up all the other numerous Velocity incorrect/missing SC and pts in the system so that we all can get some resolution on this.

Re: Slow posting of DJ points / status credits

I'm still missing 8 flight- 2 from just before the change over & two more are family pooling. Four of the eight have posted, but at zero points & SC. Last week's flights are the first that have arrived, but one credited at J SC although I was on a flexi using my comp upgrade... Am sure this is not right. I'm plat, & don't need SC in a hurry, so am waiting to see if they self correct...

I've been fighting with them for a while (~1wk) on some flights that posted 0 points and SCs (in addition to other fights trying to get some other points credited. Half a dozen phone calls and still no-one knows what's happening. Promises each time but no credit yet, and a phone call today saying that they wouldn't credit them (until I reminded them I had the boarding passes that said they should when they went back to fix again). I would suggest you get proactive.

Good thing you aren't in a hurry! I'm not so patient, I needed 10Scs (I'm waiting on 50) to make Gold by Feb 8 before I lose 200SCs, looks like it ain't happening.

Re: Slow posting of DJ points / status credits

grubbidok: what was their reasoning for them not posting??
Thanks for the heads up, will submit & not wait!

The flights that came into my account without points or SCs were ones that I'd booked through Zuji, and were posted as 'not valid for earn'. They were T class fares on the boarding passes, so should have had points and SCs. The call centre acknowledged that they should earn too (though I did get a call today saying that it was because they were bought from a third party so they wouldn't count - until I pointed out they were T and that is an accruing class). I expect they will be posted at some point, it's just a bit of a process (and I'm a bit inpatient waiting for Gold). The team are actually quite keen and eager to help, if a little inefficient sometimes and still a little green around VA policy.

It just seems to be another systems can't talk to each other issue. At any rate it's worth getting on them straight away, because if they're posted (even if incorrectly showing no accrual), they will still be 'done' according to the system and most likely not revisited.

Re: Slow posting of DJ points / status credits

I just had flights from Sunday post, one was a reward flight, one was a cash flight. Seems quicker than before sabre for me :/

Dom,

Re: Slow posting of DJ points / status credits

Thanks. One of my zero earns was a zuji booking, but two others most definitely paid in cash.
Will get on to them this week...

I booked return SYD-ADL on 31 Jan using my Amex Plat Edge card free ticket entitlement. My initial flight to ADL (class N) on 1 Feb has not yet posted, but return flight to SYD (Class E) on 3 Feb is posted Not Valid For Earn, which is correct. I was hoping some points earn but oh well. At least they got that part correct.

Re: Sabre/New website problems - all my status credits are gone!

For some of you, this might be frustrating news, but a friend of mine rang on Sunday to ask about getting the SCs assigned for flights taken around and after the cut over, and explained that these flights were going to help qualify for Platinum. Once the agent realized this, they were very helpful and manually credited all remaining outstanding flights. I assume this was through the Gold Service Desk.

Re: Sabre/New website problems - all my status credits are gone!

I'm just off the phone to Virgin on this issue. Updates in my account are absolutely all over the place - some family pooling has come through, but my own points from the same flights have not etc.

The operator at Virgin very politely declined to help me out, saying that it will all be handled manually 'over the next few weeks' and they would not assist in individual cases until it had been done en mass. She said that they 'are receiving daily updates on all this', but that crediting points was taking a long time and 'holding things up'.

I wouldn't be holding your breath on this one, folks.

First of all - thanks for the info! :D

Its all very well to say that agents are manually crediting the points and SC's - and this indeed may be what is happening. But as the Velocity site seems to be broken or have major problems talking to Sabre, then there is no real way that anyone can seriously look at or even beleive any of the data presented on the Velocity web sites at the moment. You only have to look at other peoples Velocity profiles that have been posted such gems as requiring -1045 SC to obtain Velocity Plat to realize that some of the info on the Velocity website is just not credible.

And now with manual crediting we have thrown in another "human factor" into a system that is already unstable and dysfunctional, so what we are seeing now is the result of that.
