Slow (/Non)Posting of VA Points / SC's since the SABRE switchover

Re: Sabre/New website problems - all my status credits are gone!

Has anyone had a different amount of points credited for the same flight since the switch? Some of my flights since the switch are now showing, but I've noticed for VA468 flown on 1/2/13 from BNE to PER I've been credited with 1442 points. The same flight (albeit DJ468) in November credited me with 1625 points. Both flights were of the Saver Lite type fares where no baggage is included.

A couple of flights before that on 29th Jan haven't been credited as yet (e.g. PER to BNE), so it'll be interesting to see the amount of points allocated.

Base short haul points earn is 5pts/$. Was the fare you paid in November lower than what you paid for the February flight?

Although I can't trace back how much each individual leg cost, that would explain it. I was under the impression that you also got points based on miles, like the SC calculation. However have just read that points per mile calculation applies only to international flights.

Thanks for the clarification.

Re: Sabre/New website problems - all my status credits are gone!

Update:

I escalated my issue and they are looking into it...sent them screenshots of my account today to show the wrong sector posted first!

They agree that I should be Plat, so hope they reverse the 31 Jan sector first, so they can load the 10 Jan sectors, give me Plat, then load the 31 Jan sector. My booking BNE/SYD/BNE next weekend is hinging on them gettig it right - if not then MEL and PER trips will be on QF (nothing quite like esquire's loss of bookings to QF though).

Escalation has finally worked a treat - Plat showing, all flights credited.

Re: Sabre/New website problems - all my status credits are gone!

Escalation has finally worked a treat - Plat showing, all flights credited. However, the box in the top RHS still showing an incorrect SC balance (I would have thought it should show 15, but shows 855 - the addition of my balance yesterday (730) and the 125 SC posted today (110 from 10 Jan [the point at which I then achieved Plat] and 15 from 31 Jan). I trust this issue will be dealth with overnight...unless they are giving me Plat re-qualed for 2014 :D

Ha ha. I like it :D

Any chance you can PM your contact details to escalate, Lindsay? Getting frustrated this end ....

Re: Sabre/New website problems - all my status credits are gone!

Just checked my account, and all of my activity from 1 and 4 February has now posted (earlier today). I had booked these flights in December 2012. My status credit balance is now 550, with the site saying I need a further -50 SCs to qualify for gold. However, according to the Call Centre, I'll need to wait until midnight tonight before it automatically flicks me over to Gold in their systems (seems fast? I thought it used to take a couple of days), and I'll need to wait another 21 business days to receive the pack.

Re: Slow posting of DJ points / status credits

Yep I am. Not happy Jan.

Now it's "Not happy, Feb!"

Still waiting for flights SYD-TSV-SYD on 22 & 25 January. Thought I'd try putting it through the "claim missing points" function but was then informed for both flights that
Unfortunately our records show that you did not board this aircraft therefore you are ineligible to claim Points for this flight.

So it doesn't matter that I paid for it, ate their food in Teh Longue, flew up, flew back, their records don't show that I got on that flight. I wonder if that would stand up in court if one needed an alibi for not being in a certain place at a certain time!

Its just a hypothetical - but if you paid for the TSV-SYD flights yourself on a credit card, you could always ring your credit card provider and dispute/reverse the transaction, I bet you would then get some attention to your missing SC's/Pts problem fairly quickly.

 The flight was still bought, so I doubt that'd succeed......but I have to say the magnificence of the truly dedicated creative deviousness evidenced here at times is a joy to behold.

Yes - no doubt that the hypothetical passenger paid for the goods/service. But their dispute is - did they receive all the services and goods on the flights? All of them may include the Pts and SC? Just asking.

This would of course rely on whether the hypothetical passenger raised a dispute and how their bank/CC provider treats your dispute. I am sure this may have been asked before and generated quite a discussion about the whole dispute/charge back proccess but I can't quite seem to find the threads in my searches.

Re: Slow posting of DJ points / status credits

Flew on 25th Jan. Waited 7 days, tried online claim form but it wouldn't submit saying required information was missing (not true). Submitted retro claim email - after 7 days heard nothing.

Today I called up. On hold 15 mins - agent took PNR details and said they'd pass it though to helpdesk (but still wouldn't give any sort of timescale for points to post). I mentioned there is a second passenger on the same PNR who is also missing points. "Sorry, we can't put in a request for him, he's only Silver, we only do Gold!" What? "He'll have to call up himself".

What abysmal customer service! They can see all passenger details but won't send the request through at the same time! If you were travelling with your young kids would they make them call up too!?

I just can't understand the logic of making another customer wait in the queue for the sake of 10 seconds of extra work on my call.

Is Qantas offering status matches yet - I think that would be a master stroke right now!?

Re: Slow posting of DJ points / status credits

When I called last week about missing points , I realized mine was showing as I was talking to them and it was my partners that was missing.Mine was being family pooled to my partner so didnt read it correctly on her account before calling them up.He then checked her account and said he would put a claim in for it.Partner is also silver, just shows it depends on who you get.

Re: Slow posting of DJ points / status credits

Points from 19/1 finally posted today after my 4th phone call to the GCC.

interestingly my daughters flight the same day (separate PNR) were pooled to my account before mine posted.

Re: Slow posting of DJ points / status credits

OK, it's now over two weeks for the one flight so I decided to put a retro claim in using the online form.

Amazing!:-|

I would just skip email and just call...it still won't get you anywhere, but the email is a waste of your time.

Re: Slow posting of DJ points / status credits

I tried to do mine today as well. I'm 0 from 3: I got that message, please call our contact centre on another, and a 'this flight is not eligible for earn' on another. I'll try the email first (cause there are so many I'm missing) & call after that.
Annoying...

Re: Slow posting of DJ points / status credits

Has anyone missed the upgrade because the new system hasn't processed the points?
I'm missing points from flights on 13.01, 18.01, 06.02 & 09.02.
If I've calculated right tomorrows 2 flights should make me Platinum... something I'd usually be excited about... except I can't tell because the system hasn't given me a single point since it came online.

Rant over.

I was actually quite lucky.

I needed 10 SC's to upgrade to Gold and booked a status run for 25 Jan for activity needed by 28 Jan.

The day after I booked the flight I was upgraded to gold anyway at 490 SCs!

Still no sign of those SCs from 25 Jan.

Ditto. My actual missing points were finally posted, though I was upgraded at 490SCs too (the morning of the day before I lost 200SCs in the afternoon). I'm still missing resolution on a few flights (40SCs) that were incorrectly classed as 'not valid for earn'. After many, many phone calls this seems to be being chased up, and I'm getting phone calls and emails from Silver desk, Gold desk and customer service, none of whom know what they're doing and there seems to be little co-ordination going on between them, most often referring to people that have already replied or referred. Most of their email replies are the 'Agree this should be fixed, but not our area, let us refer you to the right people to get it sorted' type. And the cycle continues.
