SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Yes only 1 TPR - it is positioned past F section of SKL T3. Bolt SQ F/R pax are all escorted to TPR by SQ staff stationed at entrance to lounge - just go up escalator and veer left - you can't miss them and they certainly won't miss you.

Cruiser, I just had a look at my confirmation and it mentions Suite (O) on the first flight A380 and then First (O) on the second leg 777. Is the "(O)" the class of booking? You mention above that F/R are escorted to TPR. Does that mean we miss out on the TPR? Or am I just paranoid. (or just a stupid question)
Thanks.

All Singapore Airlines First and Suites passengers (revenue at least - which includes award tickets) are invited to use TPR.

You don't actually 'need' an escort. you can just make your own way there once you pass the lounge entrance staff.

While true, in my experience as soon as the staff see your First Class Ticket they will "escort"/take you. I have told them I know the way....but they have always accompanied me regardless.

Bolt the "O" is just the booking class - as MEL posted ALL SQ Suites (R) and First Class (F) pax regardless of whether commercial tix or award tix are 'invited' into TPR - and yes when staff at entry to SKL see a gold or maroon BP they will 'claim' you and escort you to TPR. Personally I tell them how gorgeous they are - thank them for their offer to 'escort' me - but regular traveller so I will find my own way but if a gorgeous young lady wants to escort me TPR who am I to say no thanks?

At entry to TPR another staff member will quickly glance at your BP and may even take your TPR invite if you have one - just politely ask can I please keep this as I want it as a souvenir - will not be a problem. There are no boarding announcements in TPR but the staff on entry will take notes on your arrival and usually come finde you and advise you boarding has commenced - all done quietly and professionally.

Better get to Changi to cash these before they expire - just don't know what S$440 best spent on? I have S$40 that has to be spent on Cosmetics, Perfumes, Liquot or Tobacco - but the other 440 plus another 40 and 40 early Feb - racking my brain. Any suggestion pls?

I accept donations :p

DF (including into AU) can be very good value if you drink certain items.

FWIW, I haven't found any of the shops particularly competitive/attractive, mind you I don't really spend long looking when I have lounge access...

Last time I had 400 worth of C$s I bought an iPad Air - A$ was buying S$1.17 then so was attractive deal - but limit to how manu iPads one needs.

An update to SQ App now available - about time - it has been abysmal of late. Bit surprised though - Crystal did tell me before she left that KF call ctr staff they were not expecting App update until new Web Site up and running - but no sign of that as yet.

I'm sure a quick consult with Cruiserette would yield quick and detailed instructions on how to make best use of them!

;)

No that won't work - she has seen the types of Michael Kors merchandise I have tried on there but thinks it lack the elegance that suits my persona!

Buy 2x bottles of Krug and carry it with you on board all the time, you know, just in case they run out after you drink it all.

hoping to find some wisdom here please... i have an existing booking LAX-SIN-SYD, and want to add a domestic USA flight at the start (it wasn't open when i booked the other legs as > 330 days). called the call centre who said it "couldn't be done" and "couldn't guarantee the award seats would return to availability". now i appreciate other people may have waitlisted behind me (and yes there's no saver availability online anymore), but can't they hold the seats while they cancel the original ticket, and then immediately re-book with the additional sector?

separately the domestic leg in Y is 12,500 KF points. While i appreciate this is still less than the cash fare for the flight, i really want the protection provided by being on a single ticket the whole way through.

any suggestions folks?
