SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Ive been pricing up some PE flights for late this year and was a bit disappointed by the price, considering the product is unseen and J was approx. $1300 more than PE.

I put a value on my comfort and happy to budget a bit more for J but plan on sneaking back to check out PE.

Just had a great experience with Angie from SQ customer centre I thought worth sharing. I needed to book an infant seat for our son for our F flights next month MEL-HKG and NRT-MEL. We had booked our tickets as one-way for both. The quote for the infant seat for both was an eye watering $1900 SGD. After wincing, I coughed up the credit card details and reasoned that our tickets were pretty cheap so I shouldn't complain too much. A few hours later, I received a call from Angie, saying she thought the infant seat was very expensive and had done some research and could change it so that the price was $660 SGD and was I okay with that change? Hell yeah! New ticket issued and now more spending money for the trip! Excellent work Angie!!!
What is an infant seat in F? is that the bassinet? or an actual F seat that adults use?

The bassinet, not a separate seat. He is usually on my lap as he hates the bassinet.

New F is the 777-300ER? But not all? How can you tell which ones?
227 / 228 77WN (New fit out) - 237 / 238 77W (Std F - older fit out) as it stands at moment - well I think this is current situation.

I spoke to KF yesterday - tried to talk to Angie but they could not locate her without an ext number - I think up to 50 staff manning phones in KF call ctr both day and night shifts - anyways rep I spoke to did clarify that on Mar 31 227 scheduled 77WN - not sure if 77WN in service on SIN-MEL route - was originally slated for latish March but don't actually know the date.

New 77WN plane 9V-SNA landed in SIN late last week. It is the plane that frees up one of the others to take on the MEL route. Usually a few days of testing where it is subbed in as a late equipment change, usually the shorter routes, before it enters full service. 31 Mar looking good CE:)

yep there was a separate thread about which rego's had new F. SW and then a letter towards the end of the alphabet from memory.

got one on the recent short haul SIN-HKG. *insert shameless plug for blog below*

Yep last delivery was 9V-SWZ so the new ones are now 9V-SN....A being the first

FWIW last 2 days I have been in contact with KF office in SIN and both days tried to get onto LadyC's Angie but no luck - I did get an Ext No for an Angela who I will try to contact with at some point in time. Spoke to Roy today who was very good - I'll give him a few more 'laps of the paddock' before elevating him to 'Contact Legend' status.

I can PM you the number she called me on? I am sure she said her name was Angie.
