Perhaps you could remove the details in your post and just say you got a nice surprise. No need to tip the bank off. ;)

If I made a post saying "I got a nice surprise", do you think that would be an informative post?

I do. Particularly in the context of what you had written had been posted several times previously by other members including myself.

Applied for this card last night, conditionally approved pending payslips. Should get full approval tomorrow, hopefully, expect card to arrive on Friday.

Will be impressive (and rare) if you get it all this week - applications for both my wife and myself have been some of the longest/slowest (even with no issues with payslips provided) we've ever experienced, even had to call them to check on progress. Eventual card sending took the full 5 days as well. Maybe we were part of a backlog, but from ozbargain, sounds like we weren't alone. But good luck, hopefully you get the card soon!

I sent through payslips on 15/6, full approval email received 16/6 and got the card today so a good story experience for once.

Seems as though St George are taking the time on my application sadly. No update as of yet. I'll give them until end of week before I start doing some chasing.

Have not received any sms, phone call or email to say approved but came home today to find a welcome pack in the letterbox, advising card will arrive within 5 business days. So hooray for that. Wait for the card, spend to get bonus points then churn away.

When I applied for this card, sent in my payslips right after completing the application. Waited 4 weeks with no response before calling them up.
They had no record of my payslips. I simply went into my sent folder and forwarded it to them again. Received the card about a week after that.

Am I correct in that this card has 2 Qantas club lounge invites that I'll receive even without making a Qantas spend? So long as I sign up via the specific link.

Correct. You do need to enrol via their website but no qantas spend required. Still need to be on a QFF or JQ flight to use passes though.

Got knocked back on this one due to 'number of recent credit applications' - P****S - and I thought I had enhanced my chances by slipping $110K into one of their 'Saver Accounts' before making applic.

Surprised they were so specific, they usually say something generic about considering a number of factors including your credit report.

Guess you need to hold off for a few months!

My signup process was rather painless. I must admit that I wouldn't have been surprised if I was knocked back as it was my 8th CC application since November last year (and my last was the previous month with the Qantas Premier), but alas, I was approved.
I've hit the min spend and got my first statement and QF points from the regular spend today. But there was no bonus.
I rang them up to enquire and they said they weren't sure so they transferred me. I hung up after realising they'd put me through to Qantas who I knew would send me back to the bank.

I know they usually say to allow several months for the bonus to arrive but I've found that with my previous few CCs (Amex Ultimate, NAB Platinum X2 and QF Premier) the bonus has always arrived as soon as I reached the min spend (always in the first month).

What one bank does, has no bearing on what another bank does.

Some banks certainly do make you wait the entitre time.
