St George Amplify Signature Card 60,000 Qantas/Amplify points - Annual fee $279

I have the Bank of Melbourne version and are reasonably happy with this card. Received my 10% birthday bonus recently which makes ATO fair value. The 6months interest free on purchases and balance transfer has just ended for me, but saved way more on our home loan interest than the annual fee cost. All in all, they paid me to accept 60,000 bonus points.

7 days off my 4th statement - no points rec'd at this point and 3 phone calls with promise of call backs that never come. They say the email the department in charge obviously not getting any replies. Told them off today and I wasn't putting up with their BS. Hopefully points will come through then I will close it with good reason.

I'm having issues with St George giving me the bonus points.

The card process was held up. I can't quite remember when it actually arrived but think it was a day or too into may.

I had a word of mouth advice that if I made a purchase in may I'd still receive the points but I suppose that's worth as much as the paper it's written on.

I am onto my 3d call with the St George team to get my business lounge invitations. I have been assured several times that they are on their way but nothing is showing up in the mail. Not impressed as this has been going on for over 2 months.

They did offer me 1k points to make up for the stuffing around which is appreciated but still no invitations...

As anyone receive theirs?

Received mine within a week of "enrolling" here: St.George

I remember reading in the fine print that you had to enrol initially.

But from reading this thread, it seems hit and miss with almost everything...

I'll be cancelling soon anyway, just haven't got around to it.

It took them 6 MONTHS after joining for them to send me the two complimentary QC passes. I called St George several times 3 months ago, and the responses were pretty poor, either claiming that they'd been sent, that they were now in the mail, or that it'll be another two weeks. It's not that I need them, given that I'm a WP, but they do make nice gifts for those who don't know what a lounge even looks like. At least the passes that they sent me are valid for another 2 years.

Was promised my points at the beginning sept, didn't happen! Now say Oct, we will see ! (Shouldve been July) No lounge passes either . Ive been contacting them via Facebook, sick of ringing them.

I inadvertently ordered my QF passes back at the end of April. I say inadvertently because I didn't actually need them but had gotten confused with, I think the Westpac card, where you have to register before spending. Anyway, I didn't follow it up because I didn't need them. Last Wednesday - a full five months since ordering - they arrived. The upside is the expiry is September 2017.

Two Qantas Club passes turned up today in the mail. I cancelled my account in July 2015.

This happen for anyone else?

You sure it's cancelled?
Maybevits sitting open with an annual fee on it

I have a letter from them acknowledging my cancellation dated July 28, 2015. Because of the number of cards I churn I keep meticulous records.

No statements have been issued since September 2015.

Edit: Just tried to log into St George internet banking and got the following message:

'You currently have no active accounts.'

I'm thinking that they must have made a mistake in sending the passes. I'm happy to take 2 free passes each year until they work it out. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

Anyone know if this card pays points on bpay tx? (I know westpac doesn't)...

Well, it took St George at least 6 months to send out my 2 QF passes, despite many phone calls. The expiry date on them is 2 years in the future. Not that I need them myself as a WP, but they make great pressies for NBs. I'm staying with the St George card despite its low earn rate, mainly because of the convenience that all my other accounts are with them.

Yep same here. Cancelled this account quite a while ago and recently I also got two more lounge passes! I am wondering if I will still get birthday bonus points on my birthday... Account is definitely closed.

I thought this was one of the better earning cards with 0.75 points per dollar, rather than 0.625 or 0.5.

I just had the same happen to me this week. Not that I'm complaining.

I'd suggest sometimes it might pay to not mention these kind of things in a public forum ;)
