Re: Sucessful ASA Bookings booked at classic rates Reference Guide

I just noticed my ADL-BNE flight on the spreadsheet is wrong. The values are for 2 pax. Should have been

13DEC | 31DEC | J | ADL-BNE | 24,000 | $149.43 | 60 SC | Classic 24,000 + $95.00 Per Pax.

Sorry I must have made a mistake in my post but couldn't find it again to check!

Thanks JessicaTam
Just reposting for links & format
The spreadsheet has been updated to this post.

Please use the following format:

Month booked | Month travelled | Cabin | Route | Points cost | Co-pay* | Classic co-pay~ | Max points cost~ | SCs earned
e.g. Jan 14 | Apr 14 | J | MEL-SYD | 16,000 | $111.65 + CC fee | ? | ? | 40

* Indicate if CC fee included
~ If known

Please PM me any suggestions you have to improve it, to save this thread becoming distracted from its intended purpose.

This is the link to the Google Docs spreadsheet
which is able to be viewed by all (but not edited, to maintain consistency).

No other information is to be posted, please use the other threads for this, just keep this thread to factual information only*

IIRC Classic Co-Pay would have been HKD $1276 or approx. AUD$185

Re: Sucessful ASA Bookings booked at classic rates Reference Guide

Hi all,

Don’t know until I push Send whether this will count as my virgin (ahem) post to the Forums as it’s a reply to a thread, but either way it is my first comment on AFF .. been lurking for ages but finally overcame my shyness, as I’ve just successfully booked my first mASA which will take me (a slightly annoying) 45 SCs shy of retaining WP, with a month to go once the booked flights are taken, before status reassessment.

As with other n00bs thanks to all of the active members for opening my eyes to the joys of mASAs, Status runs, EDR promos, Expert Flyer, SeatGuru and all things I am now slightly obsessed by..

Phoned the 1300 number, got the very helpful and knowledgeable Megan. Said I wanted to booked a Classic Award as an ASA into U class and was relieved to find that this appeared to be no dramas. She even corrected me when I misunderstood that you can do all points bookings versus co-pay; 7 minutes from start to finish including a bit of system slowtime. Marvellous.

Month booked | Month travelled | Cabin | Route | Points cost | Co-pay* | Classic co-pay~ | Max points cost~ | SCs earned

Feb14 | Feb14 | J | SYD-MEL-SYD | 32,000 | $209.30 + $7.00 CC | ? | * | 80

Re: Sucessful ASA Bookings booked at classic rates Reference Guide

Feb14 | Mar14 | J | MEL-SYD-ASP-SYD-MEL | 48,000 | $379 + $7 CC | NA | NA | 240

Re: Sucessful ASA Bookings booked at classic rates Reference Guide

For ease of use could I suggest the above is divided by 2.

Jan 14 | Feb 14| J | ADL-SYD-MEL-ADL | 56,000 | $350.88 | 140 SC | Classic 48,000 + $109.88
The spreadsheet reflects any multiple pax bookings, of which there are a few. As long as how many the booking is for is stated, and if the SCs are for 1 or more I am happy.
Date Of Booking | Booking Class | Originating Airport > Connecting Airport > Destination Airport | QFF Points Payment | Cash Co-payment (if CC fee please use + Sign)
Jan 2014 l Dec 2014 l J l LAX > SYD l 96K l 739.29 + 30
Jan 2014 l Dec 2014 l J & P l SYD > MEL > LHR l 192K l 979.11 + 30
Please calculate the SCs, it makes my life so much easier. (I have done it for this post)

Welcome to AFF.

***

For the last month or so there have been no 'maximum points' stated. When making a booking over the phone please ask the agent what the maximum points would be (they usually offer it anyway) and include it in the data. I don't need the classic points, as that is usually the same as the ASA minimum.
