Suites savers now available

Currently sitting in the Private Room having breakfast
Departing on SQ211 this morning in F.
It took me three days of calls to convert my J confirmed flight to my wait listed F, even after receiving a confirmation email that my wait list had come through.
The F checkin was busy this morning with 4 other desks being used when we were there.
Unfortunately today in the restaurant there is a man and his wife having a FaceTime call on their iPad.
Very annoying.
Whilst we were away this trip I finalised our Suites flights FRA-SIN-SYD late July and a return trip to AMS in December, SIN-SYD in R, the rest in J.
White Christmas this year for us, to coincide with a big birthday for me.
I couldn't find any Suite savers ex-FRA in Aug/Sept. Are they extremely popular?

Tis peak season.

Having said that FRA when I have checked has had less availability than Zurich for the Suites. So perhaps check ZUR as an alternative.

Yeah found a few flights ex-ZRH, 1 or 2 ex-CDG and none ex-LHR for that time frame.

Train connections are good out of Zurich.

Plus what we did was to spend a few nights at the nearby Lucerne (caught train from airport station) to give us a taste of Switzerland and to catch the cable car and cog railway to/from Mt Pilatus.

After that we took the train to Passau, Germany, to start our 9 day cycle along the Danube River to Vienna.

Hey guys,

Hoping for a bit of advice re waitlistings. Currently have a confirmed booking PVG-SIN-MEL with a waitlist on the SIN-MEL leg for a flight about 3 hours earlier. Waitlisted on the 29th of Dec and was wondering if there are any tips that I can do to get that cleared.

Booking is for 2 pax in J for the whole way. 1 seat looks available if I do a dummy booking but we'd like to fly back together ideally. Is the best course of action to call and ask nicely?

Any and all input appreciated - TIA

Unfortunately no luck with SQ in getting the waitlist released. Looks like I'll have to take my chances and hope that it clears by the time we get to Changi. Will obviously try again at the gate. If it doesn't turn out is anyone in Changi on the 18th of April and keen for an AFF meet up :)

Diddy are your flts on Apr 18? If YES then plenty time to clear yet.

Hey cruiser yes they are. Wasn't quite sure how long to leave it before calling. Generally speaking how far out do waitlisted flights clear?
Dont wait - call now and try. Waitlists can clear anytime up until a day or 2 before - but keep trying - don't be afraid to call every week.

Called yesterday and no dice but will try the weekly option leading up to the flight.

Couldn't resist. Just grabbed r seats SYD SIN then F to HND for another ski next January
Good connect times and way more fun than J on QF 25

I also booked for HKG in January 2017. Gotta get in there quick, esp when you're booking for 2!

Flying F and then R in a few weeks time :)
LHR to SYD
We have SQ319 (F on the 777)LHR to SIN and then SQ221 (R on the a380) SIN to SYD
We are also waitlisted on the SQ321 from LHR to SIN, which is the A380 and therefore R class....

I notice that SQ 319 states 'dinner' while SQ 321 states 'supper' as the meal option. is there much difference? Obviously we would prefer suites all the way, but not at the cost of a 'reduced' meal service. Any thoughts? This is of course all academic unless the waitlist clears....

Oh and does anyone know if SQ319 is the 'new' F class? How do I tell?

Any tips for getting 2 Suites on SYD-sin-fra-JFK-FRA-sin-SYD for a 2-3 week trip somewhere within May to July? I really can't seem to find anything to NY :(

How flexible are you? If the seats aren't sold, they might open up ~2 weeks beforehand.

I'm very flexible...but it's trying to get hotel bookings done too: I've got a few Hyatt DSUs expiring in ~1 week so I want to do a NY/Euro trip to use them at Park Hyatts.
