I am back at work after a trip to California. SQ only have 4 seats in First on the 777 and we had 2 of them.
Yes South Africa has a weak currency at the moment.

Nice to see u back at the desk I get accused of taking too many vacations too
F/R class problem to have
Need to make some more Krys points now as spent 1 m on future suites before the 22/3/17 enhancements

Kris Miles are a favourite because of availability of flights. We go Suites to London in May.

I really enjoy putting my hand up for a second serve of caviar as most suites are not full. Usually washed down with about glass 3 or 4 of Krug ð

Go the icy Vodka with the caviar Infinity. Krug for starters is to get a big smile on your face. The French red to put you into a lovely deep sleep.

Not a vodka fan so for variety a switch to Dom is called for
I do love the Pichon Lelande Bordeaux
Generally only available ex SIN heading north but the ever great 2004 Chateau E'stornel is a great drop too

With Penfolds pricing I don't buy RWT nor their 707 any more.Their pricing is too far out of the market.
I am on Diana Madeline from Cullens now at $98 thru Dans and rebates.
I do enjoy that 2004 French red.

Hi all! So I’ve been worried about the connection time between my SYD-SIN (suites) and SIN-CPH (J) flights on separate redemption PNRs in August. So last night, rechecking the details I discover my seat in J has been unselected. A bit odd, so looking further I see an aircraft switch, no email notification, from a 200ER to the 300ER with new first class seats I believe. A quick check for award flights and surprised to see there it is! A first class award all the way from SYD to CPH!!! Snapped it up, so now just one ticket, no connection worries and all for the princely sum of $91 in taxes. All looks too good to be true but am very happy to be having such a long stretch in first time First class and flying solo also the first time, without worrying about separate ticket connection of just over 2hrs. So when I call up to cancel the original legs tomorrow there will be an extra suite back in the pool for Aug 28 SQ222 @ 3pm if anyone wants it. Also, strangely enough, when I first called up last year to try and marry the 2 award tickets I was told no go. They could link the tix for baggage but that's it. When I called again about linking my J BCN-SIN and Suites SIN-SYD tix they reissued me a through ticket for a small change fee no issue, so I have no worries about the return flight. Thanks to the community for the great advice and informative threads, which without I would not be embarking on this experience.

interesting - I just went to look for availability to CPH, can see F awards, but no F revenue (returns only business class). So I wonder what's going on?

I just did the same thing and got revenue suites SYD-SIN and J to CPH on the one ticket. I printed the award e-ticket newly purchsed
and both legs say O first so...... I maybe should hang onto the original tix for a bit longer to see what eventuates?

i dunno if there's a mismatch somewhere... or they're going to use a plane with an F cabin but not sell F (and somehow the award tool has interpreted it as being available). Worst case is they'll accommodate you in J on the CPH leg. But you want F, I'd wait and see what happens in the next few days (we are flying to CPH but in R via Paris, im a little reluctant to change that to F on the CPH leg in case it doesn't eventuate)

Yes, MEL, Im not necessarily needing F ( first time out of cattle class was May this year on points to MLE in J, loved it btw) but was mostly wanting a one-ticket scenario (not in Y) if I can help it. I think I won't cancel the first tickets yet but wait and see before giving them a call. I tried last night but was on the line for ages before I gave up and just took the award ticket online.

This was announced a bit over a month ago, but obviously doesn't explain what you're seeing in August:

Singapore Airlines W17 Copenhagen service changes :: Routesonline

Perhaps they've moved the switchover date back?

Oh thanks BacchusMarsh, I would've thought i would've received an update from SIA? My MLE trip in May saw 2 time and aircraft changes. No major issues, but each time I received an email with updated itinerary. Nothing this time around. A bit strange.

EDIT: Also to note the 300ER seat plan indicates just 4 first class seats. There is only one other seat selected as taken (bassinet seat). Either way I've selected and "paid for" via taxes (hehe) a seat as advertised. Do i have any recourse if they come back with actually no, sorry, this flight/aircraft/seat scenario doesn't exist?

Ok I called SIA and confirmed my new flight. it's not a mistake. They sent me a new itinerary as confirmation. It's First all the way SYD-CPH for $60 change fee. There are 4 F seats on the flight. The operator did not acknowledge the change without notification, only confirmed it was legit and I have the ticket in hand. I'm happy with that.

For our latest booking to Los Angeles on the 4 seat 777 First Class I had to go Standard points redemption both ways. The cash required is now is quite modest but many dates for Saver were gone for a whole month. I will go the Krug.

Im feeling very lucky i got the savers then. Yes, I am sure to appreciate the Krug when I finally get hold of it.

Yes taurus we have all been very lucky for quite a long time. My latest booking is in April and with only 4 seats in First on the 777 to Los Angeles has been made more difficult.
I chose not to go via Korea because the flight leaves after 2am.
The Suites to London may get harder as well when the Suites cabins move upstairs and drop from 12 to 6
