Suites savers now available

Just booked my first Krisflyer redemption and we are about to lose our Suites virginity next year: 2 x Savers for April 2015, FRA to Sydney, with the first leg on the A380 (locked in 3C/D for that flight) and then on to Sydney on the refitted 777 with new First. Might not be Suites all the way but I am very happy - and I am sure my better half will be, too.

Thanks heaps to a number of people here, particularly cove who answered a few additional questions on ATO points earn, and everyone contributing to this forum, including Cruiser Elite and Danger UXB.

I used 3F for dining and movies and 4f as my bed.....really worked and I was the only one who woke up 2 hours out from landing in LAX for breakfast. There were 6 passengers and I asked nicely. 4A and F get some galley noise but I use a Resmed sleep machine so that pretty much cuts it out.
The only mistake I made was having to pick up the hire car on the arrival day so I could not drink the Krug nor the Dom on my flights. Water and the caviar still works really well.

Not sure it will be the New First . There are only 3 new 77WN's at the moment which operate the SIN/LHR service SQ318/319 ( I think) regularly and sporadically on other routes. There is however a 380 which has had the suites reupholstered floating around somewhere 9V-SKR I believe

Either which way suites is suites and F is F so enjoy loosing your cherry!!!

Cheers Danger UXB

Me and Mrs R36 are also going to try SQ suites for the first time this November, SYD to HKG return.

SYD to HKG in first on 777-300 to SIN and then first on 777-300ER SYD to HKG, with a night in Singapore on the way over.

Return journey all on A380, suites, sweet as man. Tick tock, can't wait for November, was stoked to get two middle seats on all sectors.

I was surprised that the points required for SYD- HKG return is the same as SYD - SIN return? Can anyone explain why? I am certianly not complaining, was just surprised.

255,000 MR points for this experience and $600 in taxes per person, deal of the century IMO.

A quick question for those more experineced than me, should we book the cook or roll with what is on the menu (or do both)??

Cheers,

Well done R36 - you and your wife will love Suites - everybody does. Are the 2 of you seafood eaters? If yes - then YES 100% BTC - Lobster Thermidor on 1 sector over and back - roll with the on board menu for other sectors - go all out while you can. Don't forget to ask for the TPR invite when you check in - great souvenir - and post pics pls.

Definitely BTC! If you change your mind on board there's no problems, or even better, have one of the choices instead of the crummy breakfast they offer!

From sublime to the ridiculous is where I went. SQ suites to Delta Economy was squeeze therapy and I learnt that planes have rows past four.
I am happy with the standard meal offerings in Suites.
I take a plastic SQ bag on board to stow the two pairs of PJs you get going to LAX from SIN as my carry bag is pretty full.

Thanks Cruiser Elite,

Yes, we are both seafood people, that can be the dish for SIN - HKG. This flight leaves SIN around 1pm, so will make sure we get to the airport early and spend some quality time in the TPR.

Better get to the gym over the next few months and make some room :)

Yes that can be a total of 4 sets of PJs and they are Givenchy at the moment and very nice for winter for the family when you do the SIN-LAX-SIN run.

Or ret MEL-SIN-NRT-LAX all in F/R will get you 6 sets and 6 x those fabulous Salvatore Farragamo ladies amenity kits!

Awesome! Did SQ ever do a nonstop A380 suites SIN-LAX? Or any other aircraft for that matter?

Excited to be doing my first First/Suites run next month NRT-SIN-MEL. Unfortunately the Suites section is overnight so maximising experience will be difficult but will be fun nonetheless :)

Yes that will be a bummer - such a shame to not get a daytime flt so you can enjoy the full experience.

SQ had non-stop services to LAX and EWR on an A340-500, but they only offered Business and Economy. Both non-stops have been terminated.

Thanks. Oh well, looks like the only way to get to the US in Suites from SIN is SIN-NRT-LAX or SIN-FRA-JFK. Any other F routes (non suites)?
