oh well, if you can't beat em, may as well join em... *off to find some cheap VA points*
Yes, even though a VA member have never really tried that hard to get the points, that may change now!!

bloody bargain for them too, especially when a 15% discount is offered, makes it pretty close to 1:1...
Have a Suites run early next week and one of my business partners has his at the start of the new week. Now he preferred the RWT Penfolds.
2 weeks for me cove but I only get 6hrs - as for the RWT being an 08:45 dep ex SIN I find the Krug much more palatable at that time of day! Mind you the VLGD with the scrambled eggs in TPR lays foundation for a long sustained attack on the top shelf!Have a Suites run early next week and one of my business partners has his at the start of the new week. But why would you move 1.0 point to get 1.15 points to end up with 0.852 points, when you can just go direct to get 1.0 for 1.0?
i haven't had an amex for years, but i didn't know MR offered krisflyer as a transfer partner?
more generally, do many of the banks offer a sweep to KF besides Westpac and Citi? (with whom i hold cards with for this reason)

Am wait listed same day for the later A380 suites and also the SQ 222 which is the new 777-ER F product out of SYD
Fingers crossed but first world problems ))
Better get a workout in before this journey!!
Were you able to wait list online? I'm on the SQ212 flight for my trip to NYC next year but would much prefer any of the later flights if possible.
I had R SIN-PEK clear yesterday - tagged with F MEL-SIN on Dec 15 - only have 3hrs in TPR - 08:45dep out of SIN means really early start on the Krug - I will simply switch over to NYC time 19:45 - that seems just perfect time for a Krug or 3!
But if I have to leave at 9.00am then so be it for early drinks of Krug and Dom.
Where are you skiing?Just had SQ212 F class clear for 2/1/15 (was confirmed in J) then Suites to CDG on SQ 336 at midnight
Happy about this, have only ever been in suites so interested to try the other F product even though not the new 777ER F.
But if I have to leave at 9.00am then so be it for early drinks of Krug and Dom.
Will take my time then onto the red wine list.
About 8 hours wait till the midnight CDG suites flight.
Plenty of time to recover in TPR, shower go to town for sunset and back to TPR to get ready for SIN/CDG
Then off for 2 weeks skiing.

We may cross paths on the 23rd as I depart then, I will be in the vicinity of the TPR hopefully consuming some Verve LGD between 21.25 and 23.10 SIN time . When are you there? Epernay is a great pitstop on the way back from the snow. EnjoyWell Danger UXB, I will personally try to exhaust the supplies on the way over and in Suites on the way back on 23/1/15.
I am in Epernay for a couple of days before I fly out so may need to go to the source!!
