Yes I think the inflation o-meter has increased the numbers.
I haven't booked the trip to the cricket as we expect to hear if our Lords seats are confirmed later this week.

Mrscove is just a bit worried that the posters into this thread will become totally warped from me posting the two Suites per person concept.
She already thinks my moves (on points) are a bit over the top but in my defence I do travel with a Resmed sleep machine so it made a lot of sense (to me) to set it up in one Suite with the bed made up then dine in the middle Suites with Mrscove who had the window seat on the opposite side.
Enjoy it if you can!

Tell Mrs Cove to relax

I was the only one doing that option on those sectors

Plus, there were only two pax (incl. me) on each sector - hardly a crowded carriage !

Yes lovetravellingoz it works a treat and it is hard to beat seeing it is a beaut way to use points.

So what are the chance of getting 2 x suites on points ?
I can easily get 1 (as we know) but generally how far out/when would the WAITLISTED suite be released IF at all ?

I have no status with SQ

My understanding is it doesn't matter about status. What people seem to do is is go 1 x Saver and 1 x Standard/Full.

That's the only way.

The Waitlist is only useful when the single person whom got Suite Saver cancels and the next in line gets it. Therefore still only the Single one available.

am loving this thread.................. am too scared to do it though, as happy with SQ 380 J. not sure if i want to go higher.............the worst part is have stacks of points and Mr KLN wants to go away again this year, but Ms KLN is doing HSC.

2x Suites Savers are slowly opening up, as posted earlier.
With no waitlisting, eg SYD-SIN. I'm sure other routes will follow.

With Suite flights out of SIN often you will have several choices.
First choice is do you need to fly together when the next flight may go 3 or 4 hours later if there is only one Saver Seat on offer per flight?
Do you just book one at a time and pick up a Saver and a Standard points Suite on the same flight? That will fix your concern that your points could be nearing the 3 year expiry.
Do you go one day apart and save your points for another trip and pick up two Saver Suites?
Now all this could change if we get more than one Suite per day become available and naturally folks who are not based in Sydney just take the 777 to Singapore to start their experience. Out of Perth the flight to Singapore is merely 5 hours so that is no biggie for us.

We have also been very happy with the 100 seat all business class A340-500 and this finishes in 2013 for runs to Los Angeles direct but that is another story because folks based on the east coast of Australia do not want the longer flight time by heading away from North America at the beginning of their journey. Naturally this means great availability on the real long haul flight.

Where was this posted? As I have only seen people whom have gotten more than 1 on different flights.

For BNE travellers (or me at least) it is making sense to flying to SYD to join the A380 F Suite saver queue from there. For the following reasons:

BNE-Europe F Savers can't be booked online, call centre reluctant to give 15% discount.
BNE-SIN would be done in J anyway, but still paying the same (if not more ) miles.
SYD is going to have F lounge prior to departure.
Access to TPR in SIN in both directions. For instance, when returning and continuing to BNE in J, that boarding pass only gives access to F Lounge not to TPR.

Actually what has really peeved me off is that the multi-class can't be booked via the website, therefore the call centre charge full freight for the flight even though the BNE-SIN SIN-BNE will be in J. One of those booking anomalies..therefore worth the transit via SYD to save on the redemption miles PLUS get more suites time.

deluxeflyer- I stand both corrected and impressed. Hopefully other routes follow suit )

I think the retail value of a run to London in Suites is quite a bit and the comfort and class is excellent. It is a really good way to burn points.

I think there is some method to what SQ is doing. When I look at the dates that I want to whisk Mrs Albatross away in Suites there is

"Not Available" for suites if I request SYD-LHR.

Max One Suite if I change to SYD-ZRH

and Two Suites if I just use SYD-SIN.

There is a solution...we all need to work together to crack the SQ premium cabin code. What is it they are trying to tell us?

I have been working hard on making Kris points so I can go Standard and Saver so we can hold hands on the flights.

I book the SIN-LHR and SIN-LAX on line first after I have checked availability on a smooth connection from PER-SIN knowing that I can book that about 5 minutes later.
Don't think I always do things the most efficiently points wise. We think about what is the best for us and our bodies rather than trying not to spend an extra point or two.
Perth departures have no First Class and SQ web bookings cannot handle mixed redemptions.
With Alby going Brisbane to Sydney to start on SQ that can work a treat but we are not often starting from there.
My thinking is I can make points so I can use a few more to get the best flights for us.
Sure we could stay at the Changi airport hotel but I would prefer to have a couple of hours in the lounge.

Thanks. I wonder if there is a chance to still get the 15% online discount if booking using the call centre because of the website's inability to handle a mixed class booking.
