it seems to be that way if you book direct with the hotel. I think if you book through Wotif or one of the third party websites, the hotel booking doesn't include transfers and testing. Could be wrong though...
Definitely direct was easy for me.

I booked the HIX coughet on the IHG site and there wasn't an option to book the tests or transport.

Will be there Thursday night. :)

I have booked the SGS in Bangkok which is an accredited hotel. I am hoping by May won't need the testing but have emailed the hotel and if still needed they will upgrade the first night with the transport and testing.

Out of interest, when you did the Test n Go application, didn't it ask you for the testing confirmation receipt number or something like that?

We can live in hope! I'm back again at the end of April, but I think I'll be going through it again. I'll choose SGS this time I think.

I think it required my hotel name, and they checked with the hotel.

I'm flying QF23 (SYD-BKK) in early June and then QR837 (BKK-DOH) on two separate tickets. There's about 8 hours between flights which is perfect to catch up with friends in Bangkok and have dinner and drinks.

Do we think testing restrictions would be dropped by then? Would there be any potential problems since I wouldn't actually be staying in Bangkok for testing purposes?

Would hate to cancel both flights as they are award in J!

No idea if you'll get lucky and restrictions are eased. Best case if they are not, you'd have to stay airside for 8 hours between flights.

Wonder if Qantas can check my bag through all the way to Doha since they are both OneWorld?

I don't think they can (as in, are willing to) actually do this. Certainly, Oneworld no longer guarantees through-checking on separate tickets. Under the current rules, I believe transits through BKK need to be on the same ticket anyway.

Hopefully the rules will be relaxed by June.

Well that makes life difficult doesn't it, especially with less flights available and connections needed. As you say, hopefully in the next few months this opens up.

What have people found to be the best insurance cover that has the Minimum 20K USD included for Covid?

I am still struggling to find a good package so any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you :)
I got QANTAS International policy $241 for Singapore, Thailand and Cambodia

Don't confuse Sha+ hotels with the 1 night test & go package. You'll need to have a 1 night hotel booking that includes your airport transfer and testing to get a Thailand Pass. Or, so I believe!

Do they accept the Qantas cover in Thailand for Covid cover or does it need to be a local policy? I got the impression I’d need my regular travel insurance (for flights and bags and misfortune etc) plus the Thai AXA cover (especially for Covid and costing about $100 for 30 days)
