Find! (#16)

16. 5000 Forint note from Hungary (member of EU)

photo taken today

No sooner do I research the verification someone props up the find!

Well done, casanovawa. That's three finds from you - no more finds allowed from you until the cap of finds per member is raised in Week #3 of the game.

As Hungary is a member of the European Union, if you can produce a picture of a Hungarian Forint note, that would satisfy the requirements.

Thanks. I misread the item anyway. I only have coins that are also 700 miles away.

Re: The List, The Score, The Fame

Looks like someone's crossing off items on my list in post #3 as we go, and I can't tell who they are because there's no edit trail information at the base of the post! The powers that are work in mysterious ways...

[-]And since when was the forum software updated so we could use strikethrough formatting? I've been waiting for this formatting for yonks![/-]
Works quite well doesn't it. I will try to keep up with the finds!

Just noticed this thread and am currently limited to browsing on my iPhone in Melbourne. Will have to see what I can photograph today as I fly back.

[*]Shots of (a) a boarding pass, and (b) the seat itself for a middle seat (i.e. a seat which is not directly next to an aisle or window).

I had a cunning plan to get this one noting that I didn't actually have to fly in the middle seat. (pictures included for those who wish to work it out) But in the end a move to the earlier flight meant the cunning plan was not required.

All fine with me. That's a find!

I suppose there are a few people who should remove their hats (figuratively and/or literally) and honour your "sacrifice" in sitting in a middle seat. :p

#33 - US newspaper 'USA today' talking about United today... Hope the pic works!

I did a bit of investigative work to verify that newspaper show was from USA Today.

But it passes - good work.

Luckily the sacrifice I ended up making was more then offset by getting home 2 hours early.

Of course, I did take a risk checkin into a middle seat on the original flight. But lucky again as 4F opened up. In fact I was checked in on QF785 in seats 4A,D,E and F at various times today. ;) just couldn't get a full set of row 4 :(

42. [-]The answer to life the universe and everything[/-] Bottle of Champagne with a vintage date earlier than 2000 (must be a real French Champagne - no sparkling wine fakes).

Found in my cellar. Unfortunately the Dom labelling proved too difficult to peel away intact.

Taken on the 18th Feb 2011.

Sorry I should've noted that finding on this item is pending - someone has reached me via PM but needs to get the picture to me for checking.

Find! (#42)

I received this item from docjames via PM/email (claim is valid and predates yours samh004, so sorry)

Bottle of Dom vintage 1985 (upon close inspection)

Yes it is uncorked - it had just been recently drunk as explained to me by docjames.

Well done.
