I know I've missed out on the bulkhead shot (per my TR), but here's one for you:

#28 Frontage of a Le Meridian hotel.

Your standing in the freezing cold is not in vain, notzac! You have a find!

Well done - and keep warm. Although I've been told that thermals and a snow shovel should be unnecessary...

HKIA comes up trumps again. Now if only I had snapped that mirror ball in Wanchai last night

I do hope one of the items next year will be a person in the QP in stubbies, singlet and thongs.

Well done again simonpenny408. A bit of deduction luckily shows that this find can only pertain to one item, which is #17: Aircraft in Star Alliance livery (i.e. black *A tail).

So I'll credit the find against that item.

Week #3 has started!

A new post #3 has been sent to the mods for updating.

10 items were found last week, giving a grand total of 29 items found so far.

The find cap has been raised. Members can now find up to 5 items before being capped.

As to be expected in any case, there are some real tough nut items left in the list.

    • Essentially, it has to be a photo you have taken in your travels or daily life. The more convincing the photo, the better chance it will pass for a find.

This rule seems fairly clear. But can it be a photo taken for you by a close family member?

Hmmm....I have been rather lackadaisical in this regard.

I wrote that rule in the spirit of not wanting any stock photos, photos cut from a magazine or simply leeching off the photo somewhere that you or someone close didn't take it. (Alright, a couch surfer being close might be a stretch.) So close family I guess I'm not awfully fazed, although I guess in saying that I might get a number of submissions from Grandma living in London emailing over her find to son in Melbourne to upload to the thread, or something like that.

Moreover, this game was designed for the enjoyment of the members themselves! As you travel, you spot things. Scavenger Hunts are a lot like that (and they include a mixture of arcane, unusual and silly things amongst the more...."rational"). Now I have no idea whether I achieved the "enjoyment" objective...

Umm. You've put it back on my conscience. well played.

So this is an item that my brother will gain and that I will be able to see and photograph in 3 weeks. Definitely not a stock picture or anything like that. Really it is just a matter of timing and the risk of being beaten to the punch.
C'est la vie.
La vie

I'm certainly enjoying the challenge. And I have no problems with the couch surfer picture at all. (didn't even remember that really)

Either of those would've been fine. Sorry medhead, no extra points for the extra effort, but if you were in reaching distance I'd shake your hand and give you a pat on the back :)

Had a nice walk between the first round of pizza and the island dining. The extra effort was worth it. ;)
