The definitive thread on Qantas IT gripes

I can also see my LTG status on the digital card now but the attain date shown is (wildly) incorrect. šŸ˜… I suspect it may have been the date I attained LTS.

On Android it's never shown a date. It just shows "GOLD ... Lifetime membership"

I wonder if your date change is the logic that you achieved lifetime status at the silver level at that point, and now you're at the Gold level but still lifetime?

Looks like theyā€™ve finally fixed an annoying bug after several years. When I used to do an ā€œactivityā€ view by ā€œMember yearā€, it would display transaction from a date in the last month of the previous member year onwards.

For me, it was something like from 12 July (member year runs from 01 Aug). I can only assume that date is when I original signed up to QFF but is otherwise invisible ever since?

It used to work fine for ages and then broke around 2018/19 from memory.

Not a gripe (yet). Just received a flight change notification email for our SEA-LAX flight in January. Not leaving 6 hours earlier which will not suit at all. When I go to the manage booking section I get the following options:

Clicking change doesnā€™t bring up any other options even though there are several other award options available when I search.

Does anyone happen to know whether the website has been programmed to waive the cancellation fee under these circumstances or is it going to charge me 6,000pts per PAX? Would prefer not to have to deal with the call centre to ensure the fee is waived.

From memory clicking on (cancel / voucher) should bring an other screen before confirming the cancellation, where things may be explained in better detailed, including hopefully some information about fee waive. Let us know.

Thatā€™s my recollection.

I always grimace when thereā€™s something like that and you donā€™t know or donā€™t recall if thereā€™s an ā€œAre you sure?ā€ Or another step!

There was something that came up basically saying the fee would be waived but any further changes will incur it. No points credited back as yet but will see whether I am actually charged or not.

The new Qantas Points calculator is generally good, but it's missing some of Qantas' own routes! In fact it's missing QF1, their flagship route!

You're telling me Qantas offers First Class from SIN to SYD, but not from SYD to SIN?
