I work behind the scenes, so most never see the work I do. I really appreciate it when somebody stops and just says thanks for the work I do. It means a lot to me, and its a nice thing to do.

I guess I'm just the type of person that is constantly saying thanks to people. If you've ever flown with me, I'm usually always the one that acts like a Flight Attendant.

Well I wasted alot of my time today checking this page. Bit annoying but I don't mind too much.

Flight home from Sydney I was in 1F. At the gate I sat there waiting before I got up for a little space, and next thing I hear is "Mr Shep, here is your jacket and briefcase". And then as I was departing "Thanks Mr Shep, see you again soon". All the PE guests were addressed by name as they departed. Well done VA! (The cabin supervisor was Damian on DJ876 if you want to pass on the feedback!)

I am still waiting patiently to hear about if my expression of interest to work at SYD for VA will progress further. Or you know, anything, frequent flyer forum facilitator, new-Velocity ideas thrower arounder; I am pretty open to suggestions from VA.

I do love your innocence and belief in recognising good work: I am the same (latter, not former) and I love that whilst you know I am taking the p*ss you still want to make sure others do too! LOL bless....

I am pretty sure that everyone on here - even those who are opposed to the 'drip feed' approach of VA, and those who only fly QF will agree that Virgin Australia, Velocity Rewards and CrazyDave are going well beyond the call of duty in regards to their interaction with us on this forum - and we are lucky for it.

I can count on the fingers of one hand, how many times, over the last 2 years as a QF WP, that I was talked to by a QF cabin staff, who knew my name or WP status. Neither do I get Express Passes outbound or inbound without asking for them nor do I get offered priority boarding on domestic connections.

Seems DJ has seen to 2 of those issues and I'm sure Express Passes will be easy for DJ to arrange for their Golds and Platinums.

I'm excited that the winds of change have finally arrived. Will be interesting to see QF chasing the DJ ball.
