If you ask me this whole thing is silly now,I was prepared to accept the drip feed of announcements
prior to the relaunch but this is turning into a circus now,like giving children easter eggs but telling them
they can't eat them till Sunday,if you want to make an announcement at midnight make it at midnight
but don't play us for fools with this '5 special AFF'ers"lunch malarkey.
This announcement at 12:01 had better be awesome or the chance that I will move my fairly substantial
travel budget to DJ will be very slight.

I don't see your problem. They never said (as far as I can see) that it would be announced at midday. We assumed that from what was presented to us.

I spoke with my Coles contact today and he swore black and blue that no announcement about any link with Virgin will be made till the 3rd quarter of
the year,of course he could be fibbing but he's never let me down in the 8 years I have known him.

If it is the FlyBuys partnership (I for one hope it is! ), it think it's valid "real" news.

I'm sure TT/ACA will however tell us why it's a conspiracy theory against hard working Aussie battler's and provide advise as to how we can avoid the evil, greedy giant supermarkets and airlines

Guys can we just remember that there was never any talk of an announcement that was to come with fireworks and the second coming of you know who. Nor was this thread started by us making such a claim.
The luncheon idea was to bring five AFF members together to explain to them our newest venture, prior to launch, so that when the launch was official, we had knowledgeable AFF folk able to discuss the benefits having heard straight from the horses mouth.

We will post the news at midnight, so for any members that are online they can disseminate it for themselves, and those that wake up at a normal time, can read about it over their morning coffee.

Is it the biggest news to come in 2011 for Velocity?
Probably not.
But we do believe what it does represent is more value to you the frequent flyers.
