The Qantas Status Run Master Thread

I was just looking around. There are some very solid fares intra asia on CX J (mainly exTPE and ex ICN). Estimating the $4-6 ballpark per SC.

Also some very good Intra Europe ones like LON - MAD - BCN.

I think the this must be related to what someone posted a few pages back, EDI-LHR-MAD(?)-PMI return for $2AUD per SC.

If you have 278 days spare next year, you can literally get Lifetime Platinum by flying back and forth between EDI and PMI for $150,000 AUD. Cheapest lifetime OWE by a massive margin. I don't think Lifetime platinum has a QF requirement?

Unfortunately I have neither the funds nor the time to attempt such a feat, nor the necessary visa to enter and exit Schengen 278 times in a year, but I challenge somebody with a bit more free time to give it a go!

These do seem to be the cheapest cost per Qantas SC anywhere in the world - I can't see anyone going nuts to get to Lifetime Platinum, but doing a couple of these trips could reduce the remaining SC's/time required to eventually get to Lifetime Gold for someone who is within a few thousand of reaching there. I will be down to less than 5000 SC's needed very shortly and might take the opportunity to do a couple of these to reduce the target a little further - I haven't calculated how many SC's you get for these but will do later.

I think it was
Edi-lhr 40
Lhr-mad 60
Mad-pmi 40
=140
X2 for return
=280 for 280gbp or approx 560AUD

If you need only 5k SC you could fly 18 round trips for 5040SC. Since you only need 5000 You can skiplag the last LHR-EDI flight.

Honestly 30kAUD for lifetime OWS again is cheaper than any competitors at the cost of your sanity.

If you have a bit more money but a bit less sanity, you could do the old BA TP runs but take advantagr of DFW, e.g, DUB-LHR-HEL-JFK-DFW-LAS-DFW-JFK-HEL-LHR-MAD because DFW-LAS-DFW is 200 Status Credits (While DOH-AKL is like 60? Or something lol) because Qantas.

They changed DFW last year i think. No longer treated as east coast. Iirc its now just 60SC each way to LAS.

I thought we just agreed a few posts ago that the table was right, the calculator was wronf and DFW-west coast was still 100SC
Yes that's right. And 'West Coast' includes Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle & Vancouver.
