I had lunch with a life-long friend in Glasgow last week and we were chatting about competing as children to meet him. It was an art competition and my friend won and he attended and I was devastated at the time

A couple of years ago we, (the Brits) would have been full of gushing praise for the somewhat bizarre fellow in a gold tracksuit responsible for millions of pounds of fundraising, and the star presenter of Jim'll Fix It.

Today, well, mmm, not so much. The whole facade was there to cover years of sexual abuse. Utterly terrible.

The 82yo Aussie entertainer (and thanks to AFF for helping me figure out whoit probably is) however I am very aware of.

I guess Jimmy wasn't in Benny Hill or the Goodies or Dr Who. That was my childhood Brit TV diet.

Well, the bunny didn't arrive here for me, but because I remembered my 11yo self and asked the bunny not to bring me anything. I like sweets, but am picky about chocolates.

Little Miss 6 was up at 6am to go for a hunt in the yard (6 or 7 mini eggs in plastic egg storage cases) and find her sugar/candy egg. Her Dad got himself a candy egg, too. Had to tell the wee child that we couldn't go to her grandparents to check for eggs in their yard, as it's rude to just want to ransack their yard for eggs.
And if they had an egg issue, we thought they would likely alert us.

Easter is different in Aus, my dad said did you hide eggs in the back garden for the kids??

Err no dad because we have brown snakes and red back spiders over here so the last thing you want to do is stick your hands down holes in the garden lol

We only do the hunt because I bought plastic egg holder case thingies in the US years ago. If I didn't have the cases to out the eggs in, I wouldn't try to hide eggs the night before. Possums, rodents, ants ... and whatever else ... would all be likely to find the chocolate before the kid would!
