Name was changed for airport village earlier this week. Yet another waste of funds from bac ... yep "we can't afford the new runway". Pfft.

How much is a name change? Surely not even approaching the cost of a new runway.

Was there, well the Novotel, last night. Didn't see anything to suggest a new name, even saw the DFO logo, which I thought was quite distinctive.

You obviously missed the sign near the Woolies roundabout and the exit signs off airport drive.

The question remains: how much are half a dozen signs compared to a new runway.

Half a dozen? No. But when BAC come up with such hair brained ideas, you have to wonder how much they care about running an airport....

I wondered about that myself last week when passing the massive earthworks going on next to DFO. I thought they should put those funds towards the new runway

Planes are a mere inconvenience to Airports. If only they could put pokies in the terminals..The same goes for Airlines too, if only they could run their business without planes and passengers, then it'd be pure FF points and admin fees driving revenue.

The first time I flew into LAS (early eighties) there were pokies all around the baggage carousels. The bags took longer to come out than the flight from LAX. Needless to say the pokies were very popular

Yes, one of the more unique features of LAS, still there.

When I first flew into LAS there were pokies on the back of the cubicle doors in the restrooms.

Great news just in. Number one daughter, is not suffering from tonsillitis, has had an upper respiratory infection of some type and the virus she has been suffer from is hand, foot and mouth. Now, I'm sat in the DJ lounge in SYD waiting for the hotel to open for check in; feeling like cough, after taking a hayfever tablet that hasn't really made me feel any better; and checking for a rash on my hands.

But anyway, what is this hand, foot and mouth and what is wrong with South Australia that it seems to be doing the rounds?
