Had to laugh yesterday, I was in the scrum to get down to the platform to board the Amtrak train from New York to Boston. In front of me was a woman with a red Qantas luggage tag on her case.

I smiled at her and said 'good to see another Aussie here'. She looked at me funny and then realised I has seen the tag.

Why would you leave it on?

By the way it was not only signs around the facility that needed changing, but large street signs and the T-buses have also been repainted with the new name instead of DFO.

In my opinion the name of a facility is important and Airport Village had a nice ring to it where as Skygate is just.... well.... meaningless....

That doesn't explain why you think they should ask the customers. Does Myer ask the customers to name their stores?

The customers are the ones that will shop there.

I can see you do not care but some people like the shopping centre, shop etc to have a nice tone to it. Let's go to Airport Village has a much better sound than let's go to Skygate.

But maybe that is just me....

Yeah, but name one other shopping centre that has asked the customer what name they want.

Airport Village sounds more Australian like Brown Snake, Green Tree Frog etc

Skygate sounds a bit more like s Sci Fi tv series

I know someone who lives on dirty long road lol only in Australia
 
There's a big shopping centre called Bluewater in England it's miles from the sea ( which isn't blue anyway) & has a muddy pool in the middle but that's England for you

At the risk of being on-topic..........

I just noticed that searching AAwards no longer brings up JQ (QF Code) connections.......

I'm doing more investigative work - but until now, if you searched LAX-CNS for example - it would bring up SYD-CNS or BNE-CNS connections including JQ on QF Code.....

Not happening now..........

QF have removed many of their JQ codeshares domestically, have probably expanded the list now to include CNS:

Question.. Dropping the good lady at MEL in an hour for her flight. I can't get into VA lounge can I? I'm SG.. Just trying to avoid some of the traffic chaos in bolte bridge with 2 lanes closed...

It's basically anytime access but is it worth a shot..?
