Question.. Dropping the good lady at MEL in an hour for her flight. I can't get into VA lounge can I? I'm SG.. Just trying to avoid some of the traffic chaos in bolte bridge with 2 lanes closed...

It's basically anytime access but is it worth a shot..?

I've heard of people asking and being allowed. But it isn't a benefit that is defined.

Dammit!! There's F award availability MEL-LHR! And lots.

I was looking for MEL-LAX.

I don't really need to go to LHR......

Oh so tempting!!

I guess then I need to find LHR-SFO... Oh there's F and J.....

I'm running out of excuses.....

Woo hoo, our licencee is having a big Business Development Day soon and have announced:

Our speakers are refining their presentations to help you adapt your business for a changing market. And Captain Richard de Crespigny is ready to share the extraordinary story of how he landed a 650 tonne aircraft when it was down three engines.

To give you a feel for what that’s like, we’ve developed a game, just for financial planners like you. It’s called JetBlast.

$1,000 travel voucher for the top JetBlast performer in each state*.

In JetBlast, you’re mounted on a massive turbine jet. You’ll need to avoid being destroyed by legislation and regulators. And you have to do this whilst trying to get ahead capturing coins where you can – and picking up Adapt bonuses. All while you use just one control – the button on your mouse.

We’ll be rewarding the top performer in each state, with a $1000 travel voucher, so start practising now. We’ll also issue a mobile-based version of JetBlast to play on your iPhone or Android phone.

So two benefits - get to hear Richard talk AND try and win a travel voucher...am in heaven :D

Well I tried it on my laptop, a little quirky and soon understood that speed is NOT the best thing. Been playing over lunch and (early days) already in the lead in Qld as well as overall Australia (I'd say a low take up as the email only arrived this morning).

Might be on here a little less until the Conference. $1K in travel vouchers is VERY tempting ;).
Been relegated to 2nd in Qld (and 2nd in Australia) with 19 days of playing to go. I want that $1K voucher. Must play more....or call upon gamers here that want to play a neat game out of hours that I'm not playing it.

Where do you order them from and how much are they?
i could not see them in travel gear!

I can see it now. Strangers hugging each other in the airports when they see the AFF tags.

You know, it would be good if we got the AFF logo printed on the QF pyjama top. Just to complement the tags.

I'm currently wearing my QF pyjama top at the Hilton Garden Inn Rapid City South Dakota while I am washing all of my clothes. It has been seen and commented upon. :)

I trust you're wearing the bottoms as well!

Just saw this bad boy fly overhead on take off from ADL. [-]SQC7291 / Live flight info - Flightradar24[/-]

Initially thought it was a passenger aircraft and thought of Shintaro immediately. SQ have upgraded a A330 to a 747!!! No pax from ADL indeed. But turns out it isn't for self loading cargo.

BTW is this thread closed or something, I can't see an option to post there. http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/april-2013/farewell-qf-81-82-run-47307.html

The meeting and and social events for April 2013 forum appears to have been closed as being past its use-by date.

The thread was located under the April 2013 thread which was closed at the end of April. I have moved it to under 2013 and so it is now available to post again.

no worries, just glad I wasn't doing something wrong. cheers.
