The totally off-topic thread

Actually I wore a pair of pants that I had just purchased from Macy's using my 10% off card I obtained as an international visitor. But as was noted in Seinfeld, there was only a few microns of material between the world and I.

drron hit the nail on the head. Also saw the partially carved Crazy Horse Monument which was interesting.

Am now in Denver CO listening to John. :) Just because I can, and some days really are diamonds.

Well I'll be damned.... SD is good for something after all..... ;)

Who da ho?
IDAHO!

Don't expect irresponsible people to behave in a responsible manner.

Well the person next to me in 4F managed to turn on iPhone during ascent and descent to take photos. And she tried to hide the phone in her hand in her lap after using it.

Right thing or not I got up quickly out of my seat from 4D straight past business class and and had a quiet word to crew as we were waiting for door to open.

We have had tons of threads on AFF regarding use of devices on board. How hard is it to obey simple instructions?

We indeed have had plenty of arguments on this topic, and although there is nothing wrong with your posting per se, this is not the place to start another argument.

This was not an meant to be another argument. Where should I have posted or not posted at all?

As far as I am concerned the rules say switch off all devices. My preference would be all devices off throughout flight with or without flight mode and I do not care about any debates on the merits of either side.

Did the crew do anything?
I mentioned to crew and they looked at said passenger on manifest. Whether she gets pulled aside or not I do not know as I was first off aircraft.

They did mention to me that one time the captain said to them "Find out whos device is switched on and get them to switch it off." So I guess sometimes it can be a problem.

I would hate to see people allowed to text, phone calls and internet throughout flight. It is going to be a nightmare....

It could be my imagination but do you actively look for confrontation?

No, so I should just shut up and let everyone do what they want whenever they feel like it....

Like you told many members to do regarding using the J loos when travelling in Y?

By the way, was the seatbelt light on at this time?

You think there is similarity between the 2?

By the way as soon as seatbelt sign went off the FA came down to close curtain and lady in 4C got up to go to business class toilet with the blessing of FA and CSM.

And both 4C and myself in 4D received a persoal greeting from CSM and asked if we would like anything from front. Lady chose sparkling wine and I asked for glass of white. We both got glasses not plastic cups so I guess a few more rules broken.

By the way, was the seatbelt light on at this time?

Yes it was. She knew she was not supposed to switch it on and kept looking at me to see if I had noticed her using it. Guilty look?

Ultimately the world will keep revolving, so change is inevitable and for those who don't embrace, let alone accept them, these changes are usually challenging, if not confronting.

Re: seatbelt, I meant when you got out of your seat prior to the door being opened to 'dob' on her like a petulant child.

Ooooh! I dobbed on her like a petulant child. Just deflect everything away from her and put the blame on me.

And yes the seatbelt sign was off. There was only a few in business.

You could have at least tried to be subtle with your insult.

You think evolution always produces the right results? Just look at society today and you will know that statement is totally wrong....

To put an interesting spin on perspective here.... what's the bet though that the way you are now, 50 years earlier had people sitting there going "OMG, I can't believe he's doing that"! It's all relative really ;)
