Went back to the hotel yesterday to pick up the bags and head off to airport. An elderly lady enters the lift before me.

She says "A little cold outside".

I sort of take a quick glance at her, and she is wearing a cardigan, and grabbing my jacket say "It is OK if you are wearing one of these".

She looked at me for a moment and I quickly added "Where are you from? North?"

And she says "Mt Isa. It is 32 degrees there."

I smiled and said "I am from Sydney and it is a lot colder than here."

She dismissed my comment and added something along the lines of "This is bad emough"

And that is where the conversation ended as I was getting out. I think it was funny but at the same feel sorry for her as she would not be too used to those sorts of temperatures in Mt Isa.

I also recommend them. They come with a two year tracking service (by code) included so there is no need for address details on the tags. As LW mentioned the registration process is very simple.

I understand the concept of these, but in all honesty, I use my PO Box on my luggage tags, and if anyone can type in the code to the website and get your personal details, other than adding another step, where is the advantage?

No it would be printed on them when they are made, to advertise the site. An improvement to the current design.

I'll pass on that. I don't care to be a walking billboard. Except you may find me wearing this one in September... haha ;)

Of course Mt Isa should hit negative temperatures overnight in Winter. So don't feel too sorry for her.

I am sure the check in staffer thought she was doing the right thing... but now it is nearly a week since flying, no credit to qf account (the numbers after the zero is my qff number), so now the painful process of getting qf to credit it without too much hassle...

Two advantages IMHO.

First is that they are a quality tag that doubles as an AFF identifier.
Second they don't get your personal details other than the email address that you used for the registration. ie your home or mailing address are not disclosed.

You know, it would be good if we got the AFF logo printed on the QF pyjama top. Just to complement the tags.

I'm currently wearing my QF pyjama top at the Hilton Garden Inn Rapid City South Dakota while I am washing all of my clothes. It has been seen and commented upon. :)

Did your plane go tech?

What on earth are you doing in South Dakota????

Loved South Dakota though we slummed it in the Hampton Inn.
Badlands NP,Mt.Rushmore,The black Hills, dinner in Deadwood.
You should try it.

Agree. One of those amazing places that not many people know about. I slummed it at Holiday Inn and holiday Inn Express though. Love seeing the bisons roaming through the NPs.

I trust you're wearing the bottoms as well!
Actually I wore a pair of pants that I had just purchased from Macy's using my 10% off card I obtained as an international visitor. But as was noted in Seinfeld, there was only a few microns of material between the world and I.

drron hit the nail on the head. Also saw the partially carved Crazy Horse Monument which was interesting.

Am now in Denver CO listening to John. :) Just because I can, and some days really are diamonds.

I think you need a bit more than an AFF logo to improve how QF pyjamas look when worn in public....

Well some of us need much better bodies for a start. :)
It does not matter how good your body looks. The pyjamas are not meant to be worn in public and with that I include an aircraft cabin.

And yes I do agree that some people have great bodies and they would look great in nothing. Unfortunately we are not all built that way....
