Agree with your 707 sentiment - I've also been sampling various vintages of St. Henri for a number of years and I think it is Penfold's best bang for your buck amoungst their premium ranges.
Ah, a person after my own heart. Have been drinking down my St Henri collection - but still maintain about 15 bottles, going back to 88. Only got one 707 and a couple of Grange left

Your cellar sounds like it might be a good place to visit, LW! ;) Your '88 would be labeled Claret? It would have to be one of the last vintages if so - definitely a keeper! I first 'discovered' St. Henri while living in Sydney in the early '80s. I also used to ride up to the Hunter during those Sydney years for many very happy  weekends touring the wineries and discovered Tyrrell's Vat 1 Semllion - still my favourite white by a country mile.

Yes, that's correct. Got 88, 89, 91, 93, 94, 95, 97 + later ones I can't recall - a couple I still have multiple bottles.

I discovered St Henri when at the Qld Cricketers Club in the late 80's (attending the First Test) - a group of us go every year and eat in the Bradman Room. It was the selected red wine. Needless to say, I used to buy a 6 bottle case most years.

Also found Peppertree as that was the replacement. Now they have gone a little to seed :(

Cellar = 2 small wine fridges ;). I did have a cellar at my previous unit (I dug it into the slope of the hill under my unit - perfect provenance). There is a photo on this site somewhere showing the content of my fridges - remember doing it for shintaro10x and medhead, as they are similar fans of Penfolds (being locals ;)).

I have the opportunity for a three hour dreamliner flight in J in just over two weeks as part of a possible Avianca redemption, very tempting, problem is it would require a significant reschedule of the trip by two days and the flight lands at an airport I dont normally use to arrive or depart from, still tempted!

You know you want to do it ... and you are asking members of this forum?

Surely you know what the general consensus would likely be ... :p

I should add it also means a redeye in the middle of the redemption, effectively making Brisbane Taiwan a 24 hour trip in duration! And yes I am still leaning to it!

Do it. That is all.

Oh, and a TR and photos of course.....

I almost missed the dealbreaker - its not a transit at NRT

That's ok, just get the train in between.

Relatively speaking it'll be a tight connection, even with good timing and you are praying for no delays! Definitely would be one of the proverbial "stories to tell your grandchildren", though. Pack adrenalin (in a container < 100 mL, of course) ;) :p

Makes for a great TR......

I quite like TSA having used it many times, would be a first international I have done though, I normally fly fat from there (FAT the airline).

Is it time for a Jetstar sub-forum and a "sticky" thread titled "Can a Qantas Platinum use the Qantas First check-in at SYD to check-in for a Jetstar flight?".

We are flying jetstar from Bali to Singapore. It just seems weird.

Apparently if you constantly move people around the office productivity increases and you get better quality.

It is a well known management technique which gives them yet another excuse why they've failed.
1) You've taken my best person so I can't get the team to achieve the goals I was set. or:
2) You've given me a useless person so I can't get the team to achieve the goals I was set.

The usual affect is to destroy morale because the worker gets blamed regardless.
