I hear Perth airport security are on strike this morning and no flights? Any truth?

I recall a strike was planned by Qantas security screening staff, but believed it was going to be more of a "go slow" action, ie. Close off priority screening line, subject more passengers to additional screening etc.

But don't know the latest.

Flashware can you check the UK price of Penfolds 2008 Grange (about $630 here) and Penfolds 2010 707 (about $300 here). The Australian prices feel high!

Thanks Flashware it looks like the latest issue is not yet on sale in UK as they are offering last years only. They have 2007 Grange and 2009 707.
I will look around when I am in London.

Majestic are pretty reputable, but for wine at that price... how would you determine that it has been handled correctly before you buy the bottle?

We could take a bottle to a BBQ to check that it has not been mishandled. I have felt the 707 Penfolds is their best red so that is less of a wallet buster.

Haha. Well that is a good way to check, but it was a serious question. Any tips when buying said bottles apart from using a reputable merchant?

At the recorking clinic at Burswood Penfolds replaced one of my bottles as it was "corked" so they replaced it with a current vintage. Penfolds do this but Hill Of Grace ignore you.
Mal that is the safety you get with Penfolds at their clinics.

Agree with your 707 sentiment - I've also been sampling various vintages of St. Henri for a number of years and I think it is Penfold's best bang for your buck amoungst their premium ranges.
