Rant= F'ing movie theatres and allocated seating. Works great, excellent idea. Until some complete and utter sods take your seat and refuse to get out.

Fog in PER tonight...was lucky to get in on VA flight from Sydney I reckon. Pilot let us know before descent to prepare for a diversion to Melbourne....perils of living in Perth.

If I'd booked QF I'd be sleeping in Melbourne right now so I guess I was lucky in the end!

Would explain why my VA HKT-PER flight is delayed by 90 minutes. Currently sitting in TG lounge at HKT... going to be a long night.

Eek! Although I did snooze in the BA lgw F lounge yesterday morning for a while. Lack of sleep tends to make you drowsy first thing in the morning!

I think I might be in luck, some googling reveals that the inbound from MEL will land very shortly
Interesting exchange at the Lounge desk between a couple traveling PER-MEL-SYD-HTI frustrated that they won't make the connections and something to do with re-checking luggage at SYD. They were reading from a FC itinerary

Indeed! Decided to check out the Exec Lounge instead, it's not too big but not too small - quite nice for an evening. Hotel itself is quite dated, but the rooms don't feel as old as what it really is and than EL is quite modern and looks good.

I just showed the FA my flightaware screenshot of PER including the EK diversion and he was a bit disturbed
