Best wishes to Mrs Cove.
Glad to see it isn't holding her back in the travel.
You're my champion I rely on when my wife tries to limit our OS trips to one per year.

Anyone else going through the process of trying to make sense of private health cover now payments are resuming in July? After a phone call from Bupa, a store visit and trying to work thru their neanderthal website, I am more confused than ever and will stick to the old MBF co-payments scheme.

A friendly reminder to those that think we fly in old planes:

Somewhere in the world they have it worse:

This is extremely unfair.

Arrived at SYD T3 at ~1:30pm for a 4:05pm flight to BNE and checked in bags. Went to T1 with mum and helped her check-in for her flights SYD-BKK-MXP-SKG and now back at T3 waiting for my delayed flight to BNE. :(

Fat chance of getting to BNE at 5:35pm so no T-bus out to DFO at 6:00pm. :(

By the way this is not funny at all....

No taxi. I would rather hire a car (too many beers already) or get soaked from Central to the Mill.

As it so happens the flight operating my SYD-BNE is the one doing OOL-SYD which probably explains it.

Aldi have 'Bauhm' (their home brand) NC headphones for $39.99. Some of their other products have been ok, so I wonder how good these would be?

Edit: Should have said - Next Saturday 15th June is the sale date.

Worth checking out. Pay on XS to avoid the surcharge!

Bosses company is going to be half brought out in 20 days and we have to use up our time in lieu by then! Problem is I have 5 days! Mmmm I wonder if them cheap trips to SIN with QF are still around.

Thanks Pushka she has 12 shots to go and with QF Double Status Credits I have been trying to get her to Sydney or Melbourne every second weekend. All ok so far. Thanks for the positive thoughts!

See y'all in a few

Hey, it made me laugh - thanks for brightening up an otherwise dull Monday morning in the UK :)

I thought it was meant to the dry season up north or is this normal or abnormal for this time of year?

Nothing is normal anytime of the year up north.

And I have lived here for 5 years now and do not buy any of the propaganda.

A good example of why it takes ten years to become a Queenslander, as for irregular weather patterns, the only place I find regular is the polar caps or deserts, your call!

Sydney is perfect. Dinner at King St wharf on Saturday night reinforced that feeling. And I am not one that loves to spend time down in the city.

Brisbane is a dump. Best way I can put it and I am only here because I am desperate. Sorry if that offends anyone...

Watch out JohnK don't say in QLD too long.

LOL, unlikely to offend anyone, its all about your quality of life, Sydney for me has no attractions of interest despite having been born there and lived a significant part of my life there. I am glad my son and daughter are Queenslanders, they have a chance at living life where the mortgage is not a nightmare, where you don't need to go to a restaurant when the freshest seafood is easily had in the backyard with a $12 crab pot or a 1 hour motor to bag out on snapper, and where business is based on relationships, not short term deals.

I often invite Sydney and Melbourne colleagues home for a BBQ on the balcony, its interesting to watch the stress leave over the course of the night. Life is good, and I am glad we don't all want to live in the one place.
