Only when you let them. ;)

There are times when you are in the know but you do not let anyone know. Oh, except for a few people who might benefit from what you know but when they are in the know they will let you know what they know.

Does it make sense? That is what I know.

Makes perfect sense!

Well, I've been doing this run almost every week for the past 3 months and this afternoon is my final trip back to London. It was supposed to be last week... but things happened and I ended up needing to go this week also. I have to laugh. I've never really had any sizeable delays on this and then the ride home now... is severely delayed due to a truck running into a bridge that the train line runs on. You have to laugh! No hockey tonight for me, doh!

Oh.. That will be an interesting delay. Engineers have to be dispatched to check bridge, truck hauled out. Delay could be short or could be long. Plus you have the added issue of how many trains are queued in your side of the bridge... They have to be staggered and correctly routed.

As per other communication.... Delay repay!

In true DYKWIA spirit, I am happy to see all the people that joined us from the train that terminated at the station, now get booted out of my First cabin and shunted back to Standard (which they paid for) as there are plenty of spare seats in there

Aww poor them. Its not their fault that they are BLIND and STUPID to miss the multiple signs that say the cabin is for F passengers only....

Btw. The important question is .... Have you had your burger yet?

I have! Good as always.

Ah, there's always 1. She hid in the toilet waiting for them to go, now she's back. No, wait. She's gone to hide in the toilet again.. and to round out the combo, she's drinking Stella!

Oh no. Is she beating herself up now? Haha. Fare dodgers are always classy. The two I met near my sisters place were classics. Half my age (plus a few years) and wanted to sit with me on the train so that they had an air of respectability if ticket checks were to occur.

This one would have to be twice my age (although tries to look younger). She is now straightening her hair with one of those hair straightener things........ if nothing else, it provides interesting entertainment....!

Wait for the full face paint routine. For bonus points she may file her nails or clip her toenails. Then comes the polish.. Hairspray is often also used. Aah I've seen too many people like her on trains!

Well she was looking at some hand towel that she brought back from the toilet, as if to be searching for something..... now she's passed out.

Apparently I should get an email tonight with some exciting information... Then down the rabbit hole I go, following the maze and might pop out the other end with a successful outcome!
Good luck (M)Alice, be home in time for tea!

Well at least you have entertainment for your journey!

... and they've managed to smash some kind of speed limit and somehow looks like they will get us in just under the 30 minute mark. Grrr, the blood really does boil sometimes!! :)

Bugger. I hate delays just under 30. Long enough to be annoying, but not long enough for compensation.

Although... we haven't hit St Albans yet and we were due in 16:33, so 12 minutes... the race is on!

Reading the past page or two is almost like The Amazing Race playing out in the off-topic thread. I'm enjoying it!

GPS finally caught up.... way past Edgeware and not far from London now. Looks like it'll just slide in on EMT's favour. Doh!

Not looking good for a 30min delay...
