In our Perth office we do movie tickets rather than cake to celebrate birthdays seeing we pay our staff by the kilo. The new Battery powered Taylor Dunn stock pickers to run around our two warehouses have been popular. We bought them when the price dropped which was helped by a 1.05 dollar recently.
Bundy Bear is now almost a Sandgroper seeing the first month has almost slipped by.

So the heavier staff.. earn more?

Yeah, I'm still looking (albeit slowly). ;)

Ditto, after having just come back onto the market a week ago. That being said, I'm only half looking - a bit of time off wouldn't be such a bad thing after a crazy last 2 months

Can't stay up tonight as early start on the slopes at The Remarkables tomorrow but have all my fingers and toes crossed for a Scots victory at Wimbledon :)

First install was 6kw which cost $11,990 then we added another 1kw for another $1,520......all up $13,510 - pay back of 3 years.

Then it's a free J class fare to somewhere decent every year:D
Do you have to pay that cost up front? Or is it just added on to your electricity account - I guess if you purchase through an electricity provider?

You mean the dual nationality player? ;) He'll be a Brit if he wins and a Scotsman if he loses.

Don't worry the Scots will getting Independence soon. Probably will mean no Wimbledon titles for the Brits at all for the foreseeable future.

Yes - paid up front.....on Amex @ 1.5 points/$ :D

FWIW the electricity providers have some of the worse systems at some of the worst prices.......best to avoid. Find a decent installer (normally an electrician) and start counting the cash.

I didn't receive an email in response though. I did ask RedRoo about that a few weeks ago. The voucher is dated February. Is that maybe when the flights to/fro Adelaide were "enhanced"? We were rerouted through Melbourne on an August Singapore flight so maybe that's it? And it's only just appeared.
Maybe that is it.

I can only speculate. Are you afraid to ask just in case you lose it?

So $13,510, and did you mean after three years use, it's paid for itself & you are in front? And then you can sell your excess generation back to the power company? I thought they reduced the buyback cost to a paltry amount! What's the life expectancy of the unit? I was keen to get one but from the small amount I've read it seemed a big splash upfront and ages to start paying for itself. Mad though, that here in Oz with all our sun there are not more takers. If the Govt (ha ha ha) made it more attractive in terms of rebates or discounts =more people would install them = units would be cheaper = even more people would install them = reduced demand for fossil fuels = gains all round. Oh wait, I did suggest the Govt could do something smart and as well, good for the environment. Can't type more as I'm falling off my chair helpless with cynical laughter:lol:

If you really want payback... consider replacing all those 50w halogens in your house.... with led.

Replacing with $10 hk-sourced 6w under 6mth payback, or $30 for the Phillips 10w, albeit noisier with inbuilt fan

I have a 6:05am flight from SYD in the morning.

I have not gone to sleep yet and now is not the time to attempt to sleep. Bags are packed and hope to be heading out to airport ~4:00am.

You do realise that all electricity generation and distribution in Victoria has been privatised? Therefore we need electricity companies to demonstrate they can do something smart and good. But with an incoming federal Liberal government which denies climate change exists then there is no need to do anything. Nor do the companies don't have the foresight or ability to be innovative.

No amaroo got their system heavily subsided by the state and federal government (labor governments) despite being a dyed in the wool conservative voter that doesn't mind some fantastic great incentives to help the environment unless it helps their own back pocket.

What a weird weekend.

Yesterday BA stuffed up and told passengers the incorrect time at destination. Also navigation video on plane showed incorrect destination time. Watch was incorrect for quite a few hours as a result but eventually was corrected.

BA stuffed up further and didn't take into account DST ending in the country this morning. End result... On return journey delayed at airport waiting for pax who were told one time for their booking but plane was due to depart an hour earlier. No update from BA by phone, email or sms about the reschedule. 20 odd min delay arrival wise as a result.

Immigration at LHR asked if I was travelling with anyone. I indicated I was travelling with friend. Was then told off as we didn't approach immigration together. WTF? We are both grown adults and not partners. No reason to visit immigration at the same time.... And many countries (including the UK) usually frown on non partnered couples using immigration together.

My weekend has been full of dealing with morons.... I wonder if this week will improve!
