My house had that lovely fake timber laminate panelling on the walls. When I took it off, there was another layer of a different colour of panelling and then underneath all of that, was wallpaper (the lovely 70's style mustard & green) followed by the same wallpaper in another colour!

With AdelaideNow going to a registered/subscriber format, I decided I won't continue to read it.

I have today subscribed to The Age online.
I've actually gone to the Canberra times for my Fairfax hit.It seems Canberrans don't like to pay for anything.

I accidentally came across this video which is about the bluefin tuna and how the sushi craze is causing the fish stock to crash.

Ironically, the fish stock depletion also affects the Japanese (fishermen) as well.

It seems to be a case of "loving (the fish) to death".

It probably makes me think twice before ordering bluefin tuna for sushi.

1,500 tuna sold every morning @ Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo !

Before someone torches me, I am a meat eater - not a vegan, but the idea of eating something to extinction is somehow jarring.

Madness ..sheer madness

A 600cc sports bike engine, a mobility scooter and 3 slightly silly Manxmen with way too much time on their hands…what could possibly go wrong?
Must be something in the water on the Isle of Man, methinks! :)

When I purchased my current home many years ago it had carpet in the kitchen. Was quite ok. I have since removed it and have polished floor boards which I prefer.

We might need to chat about kitchen carpet removal tricks. They have not been able to get it up off the floor!!

Isn't there an asbestos risk in removing old floor coverings?

Hopefully you can make the most of your opportunities....

I second that, well done - welcome :D Don't worry.. you'll miss uni soon enough!
Thank you and everyone else who liked my post - much appreciated :)

Indeed the real world is looming large but I welcome it. But first some time in Melbourne to relax a bit. I've taken quite a few flights this year already but people don't seem to realise that just because you get on a plane on your own volition that it will be relaxing...so not the case!

I have just bookmarked SEEK - Australia's no. 1 jobs, employment, career and recruitment site - I think I shall be using that a lot in the coming months!

Another 2 days of lounge crawling is over.

Back to golf tomorrow :) before reality strikes next week....
